寒假引流课---PC1

Lesson Three

Teacher:

Language: Food--- fish/banana/hamburger/strawberry/hot dog

Materials: video/PPT/flashcards
Objective: Students could use the target language to communicate with each other

Warm-up: Walking in the Jungle! ---5 min


Sing the song with the video.
The teacher teaches the key words and actions from the song first then everybody watches the
video together, next they sing with the video.

Introduction of words: ---5 min


Use flashcards and PPT to introduce new words with phonics. Try to make it attractive to
students.

Practice: ---10 min

1. Prepare 2 sets of the flashcards and divide students into 2 teams. Give each student one card,
when the teacher says a word, students who have the card need to stand up and say the word.
The teacher could do this quickly.
2. What’s missing?: pictures on the slide, teacher could do this activity for a few times.

Introduction of the sentence: ---5 min


1. Teach the word want first, the teacher could draw on the board and use the action & facial
expression to introduce this word. Make students repeat this word several times together after
the teacher.
2. Put flashcards on the floor and ask “What do you want?”, try to make students say “I want a
_____.”

Practice: ---10 min


1. Pictures on the slide, the teacher asks “What do you want?”, students answer “I want a
_____.”together according to the picture on the slide.
2. Divide students into 2 teams and ask them to stand in 2 lines. The teacher is holding the card
and ask “what do you want?”, 2 students answer together according to the card the teacher is
holding up. Whoever answers faster could sit down, the slower one needs to go to the back of
the line. The team sits first is the winner.
Introduction of the sentence: ---5 min
3. Make the students repeat the question after the teacher together for several times.

Practice: ---10 min


1. Students stand in two circles(the small circle stands in the big circle). Students stand in the big
circle holding a card. The two circles walk into the different directions, when the music stops
they need to do the Q&A with the student stands across from them.
2. Ask 3 different students “What do you want?”

Activate: ---10 min


Divide students into pairs to make a conversation together:
A: Hello! Who are you?
B: Hi, I’m _____. Who are you?
A: I’m _____. What colors do you like?
B: I like _____. What colors do you like?
A: I like _____.
B: What do you want?
A: I want a _____. What do you want?
B: I want a _____.
Then they go to the front to perform the conversation by pairs.

Follow-up: ---10 min


1. Students go to the front and introduce themselves individually.
2. Practice with their parents at home and take a video of that.
