寒假引流课---PC1

Lesson Two

Language: Colors---red/blue/green/yellow/orange

What colors do you like? I like _____.
Materials: Video(Hello song)/PPT/pigment/water/bottles
Objective: Students could use the target language to communicate with each other

Warm-up: Hello song! ---5 min


Review the Hello songwith the video.

Warm-up: A song about colors---3 min


Red, red, red, touch my head;
Yellow, yellow, yellow, say Hello;
Blue, blue, blue, see a kangaroo;
Green, green, green, eat ice cream.
The teacher sings it first then all the kids sing with the teacher together.

Introduction of words: ---5 min


Prepare 8 bottles because there are 5 new words. Put half a bottle water in the bottles then put
pigment inside the bottle cap so that the water will change the color if people shake it.

Practice: ---10 min

Listen and repeat:students repeat the words after the teacher together and then the teacher
checks their pronunciation individually.
Listen and touch: students listen to the teacher and touch the color according to what the
teacher says.
Say the word: color pictures on the slide with a number next to each pic, the teacher says the
number and the students shout out the word matched with the word which the
teacher said.

Activate: ---3 min


Pair work: divided students into pairs, one student says the color the other student listens &
touches & says the word. Then switch.

Introduction of the sentences: ---2 min


1. Hold a color card or point at something asking “Is it blue?” and try to make students say No
several times to introduce“It’s red.”

Practice: ---2 min


Ask and answer: the teacher asks “What color is it?” using some real items in the class and the
students answer together with “It’s _____.”
Introduction of the sentences: ---1 min
Make the students repeat the question after the teacher together for several times.

Practice: ---5 min


Passing the cards: students sit in a circle and pass down the color cards. They need to say the
word while passing. When the teacher says stop, whole class ask the question
and the students whoever has the card need to answer.

Introduction of the sentence: ---5 min


The teacher could draw a red heart on the board and also do the action to introduce like first. Ask
students to repeat this word together for several times. Then the teacher could ask “What colors
do you like?” help students to answer with I like _____.

Practice: ---5 min


Put color cards on the floor, students stand in a circle then walk in the circle while repeating after
the teacher “I like blue.” together. When the teacher says the certain word, students need to pick
up a card and answer with the card in their hand individually quickly.

Introduction of the sentences: ---1 min


2. Make the students repeat the question after the teacher together for several times.

Practice: ---5 min


Prepare a dice with one color word on each side then divide the class into 2 teams, the teacher
throws the dice, one team asks “What color do you like?”, the other team answers “I like _____.”
together according to the dice then switch.

Activate: ---5 min


Divide students into pairs and make a conversation together then
A: Hello!
B: Hello! Who are you?
A: I’m _____. Who are you?
B: I’m _____. What color do you like?
A: I like _____. What color do you like?
B: I like _____.

Assessment:---10 min
Students go to the front to preform it in pairs.
Follow-up:
Practice with their parents at home and take a video of that.
