XII Project Guidelines and Topics - 25-26
Class XII
Economics Project Guidelines
Students need to make a project file on the topic assigned by following the guidelines as
under:
1. The project must be hand written, clean and tidy without any cutting.
2. Only A4 size, one side ruled (white colour) sheets should be used to prepare the
project.
3. Project must carry 25 – 30 pages of content.
4. All the pictures / graphs / tables etc. should be pasted on the blank side (left side) only.
5. Content of Project:
a. Cover Page (Refer format in Annexure I)
b. Acknowledgement (Refer format in Annexure II)
c. Certificate (Refer format in Annexure III)
d. Table of Contents (Index)
e. Objectives of Project
The objectives should be around 4 – 5 lines with respect to title of the project with a
briefexplanation of them. Mention each of them in separate lines.
f. Introduction of the project
The introduction of the project must be a comprehensive beginning in respect to the
project. It should highlight and indicate the global issues, present economic issues and
how does it impact the Indian economy.
g. Main body of project
i. Present Scenario
ii. How it is related to Indian Economy
iii. Challenges associated with it
h. Analysis of data
i. Findings
i. How pandemic affected your study
ii. How Covid-19 impacted your project title & objectives
iii. What are the necessary findings connected with your title?
j. Recommendations
k. Conclusion
With one or two brief paragraphs stating the conclusive message for the project
starting with the following words:
(At the end of the project work, I would like to put my final words pertaining to the title
and study undertaken by me as follows ….. )
l. Case Study
One case study related to your topic, wherein actual reality is shared from the real
world.
m. Questionnaire
Minimum 10 questions in form of MCQs.
l. Bibliography
(Websites / Newspapers / Magazines/ Sources of study)
Expected Checklist:
• Introduction of topic/title
• Identifying the causes, consequences and/or remedies
• Various stakeholders and effect on each of them
• Advantages and disadvantages of situations or issues identified
• Short-term and long-term implications of economic strategies suggested in the course
of research
• Validity, reliability, appropriateness and relevance of data used for research work and
for presentation in the project file
• Presentation and writing that is succinct and coherent in project file
Note: The objectives of the project work are to enable learners to:
• Probe deeper into theoretical concepts learnt in class XII
• Analyse and evaluate real world economic scenarios using theoretical constructs and
arguments
• Demonstrate the learning of economic theory
• Follow up aspects of economics in which learners have interest
• Develop the communication skills to argue logically
