Microsoft Word
Microsoft Office 365- It is a Software as a Service (SaaS) product from Microsoft that provides subscribers
with the Microsoft Office desktop apps for Windows and macOS
Standalone version of Microsoft Office-also referred to as the "on-premises" or "perpetual" version allows
you to install and update the apps on one computer. It is a word processing program that was first developed
by Microsoft in 1983. Since that time, Microsoft has released an abundance of updated versions, each offering
more features and incorporating better technology than the one before it.
MICROSOFT POWERPOINT
It is a powerful slideshow presentation program. The program uses slides to convey information rich in
multimedia. The term slide refers to the old slide projector which this software effectively replaces.
• What can you do with PowerPoint?
PowerPoint gives you the ability to share your presentation with others in real time on the web. You would
supply the user with a link to the presentation. After selecting the link, the users will be able to follow you and
your presentation online.
Help- The Help Icon can be used to get PowerPoint related help anytime you need. Clicking on the "?" opens
the PowerPoint Help window where you have a list of common topics to browse from. You can also search for
specific topics from the search bar at the top.
Slide Area-This is the area where the actual slide is created and edited. You can add, edit and delete text,
images, shapes and multimedia in this section.
Infographics and Online Platforms for ICT content development
• INFORAPHICS- Information Graphics or infographics are used to represent information, statistical data, or
knowledge in a graphical manner usually done in a creative wat to attract the viewer’s attention.
• It is any graphic that display and explains information, whether that be data or words.
TYPES OF INFOGRAPHICS
1. STATISTICAL-It is a type of infographic that tells the story behind your data. It's the base choice to
represent survey data, official and government data, data from different sources, etc.
2. PROCESS FLOW-Process infographics are a specific type of infographic, designed to visualize, summarize
and simplify processes.
3. GEOGRAPHIC- It use map charts as the focus visual.
ONLINE IMAGE FILE FORMATS
• .jpg or .jpeg- developed by the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) to be a standard for professional
photographers
• . Gif- Animated graphics like banner ads, email images and social media memes
• . Png- High-quality transparent web graphics. Considered as best image file type for web graphics.
A website or web site is a set of related resources from the web. These resources were considered as web
pages and multimedia (e.g.: videos, music, images).
