Directions: These questions 8 to 10 consist of two statements, each printed as Assertion and Reason. While
answering these questions, you are required to choose any one of the following four responses.
(a) If Both Assertion and Reason are correct and the Reason is a correct explanation of the Assertion.
(b)If Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not a correct explanation of the Assertion.
(c) If Assertion is correct, Reason is incorrect.
(d)If Both Assertion and Reason are incorrect.
8. Assertion: -Equation displacement d = velocity v + time t is dimensionally incorrect.

Reason: - According to homogeneity of dimensions only those quantity can be added or subtracted
which have same dimensions and each term of an equation must have same dimension.
9. Assertion: - Two athletics moving on a circular trac and on its diameter respectively will have zero
displacement and zero distances covered in one complete cycle.

Reason: - Distance covered and displacement both don’t depend on path.

10. Assertion: - Meera thrown Javelins with same initial velocities as thrown by all others but she has
thrown at longest lenght .

Reason: - Meera made her throw at 450 for achieving maximum range but others failed to manage this
condition.
