CAUSE AND EFFECT

SEBAB AKIBAT
When an event cause another event, both event have a
cause and effect relationship.

Kalau diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, cause and


effect adalah sebab-akibat. materi cause and effect adalah materi
yang membahas tentang kalimat atau paragraf yang di dalamnya
menggambarkan hubungan antara dua hal ketika satu hal
menyebabkan sesuatu yang lain terjadi.
Kata Penghubung Cause and Effect

The reason or motive, for an action Result or conclusion of an action

There are two types of cause and effect :

1.Followed by noun (cause and effect + noun)


2.Followed by verb or clause
Cause and effect + noun
Conjunction:
Due to, owing to, because of, as a result of, as a consequence of, etc

There are two formulas that can be used in this type of cause and effect
Formula 1: Conjunction + cause + effect
e.g:
due to the storm, we cannot go to the beach
Owing to the kindness, Mia give her a gift.

Formula 2: Effect + conjunction + cause


e.g:
I got sick due to the cold weather.
The car was broken as a result of her recklessness.
She was late because of her bad sleeping habit.
Cause and Effect + verb/clause
Conjunction:
Because, since, for, therefore, consequently, as a result

e.g:
- Because her brother lives in Jakarta, she must visit him every month.
- This bag is expensive since the famous brand chanel made it.
-They haven’t turn 17 yet, as a result, they cannot join the International Seminar.
