Introduction

 Theproposed smart car parking system will

overcame all the challenges and difficulties
that are there in conventional car parking
system.

 Smart car parking system will be a

revolutionary change in the city life, which is
so filled with auto mobiles.
Scope

 Adopting of automatic smart parking system so

that
availability of space could be
known and enhanced security.

 Automatic car parking save

time and fuel, reducing the
environmental pollution.
Objectives
 Todevelop an user friendly automated
car parking system which reduces the
man power and time saving.

 Tooffer safe and secure parking slots

with in limited area.

 To
reduce traffic mess caused by an
unplanned parking system.
Hardware and Software
Requirement
 Hardware requirement:
 Arduino UNO
 I R Sensors
 Servo motor SG-90
 LCD display
 Power supply
 Software requirement:
 Arduino IDE
Arduino UNO:
 Arduino UNO is microcontroller board based
on Atmega328.It is USB connection.

Infrared Sensor [IR]

 Sensor keeps transmitting infrared light and
when any comes near it is detected by the
sensor by monitoring the reflected light from
the object.
Servo motor SG-90
 Servo motor SG90 is a light weight server with high
output power and can rotate approximately 180
degree.

LCD Display

 LCD display is very commonly used in various

devices and circuits. It can display 16
characters per line.
Arduino IDE
 The Arduino IDE supplies a software
library from the wiring project, which
provides many common input and output
procedures.

 The Arduino IDE supports the

languages C and C++ using
special rules of code structuring.

parking system
Applications:
 The smart parking system can be
implemented in
• Offices
• Shopping mall and similar places
• The user known the information of
parking slot in advance
• Friendly reorientation of cars for
driving in an out
Advantages
 Itensures quick and automated
parking and easy retrieval of vehicles.
 Low cost system, providing maximum
automation.
 Users can access that occupancy data
to determine the availability of slots.
Disadvantages
 Initial maintenance cost is high.
 Itrequires a maintenance contract with
the supplier.
 Hard to repair the underground
sensors.
 Uncertainty in the building structure.
 The high cost of construction.
Conclusion
• Smart car parking system provide efficient
way of parking for drivers without any
hestination.
• It could help bring order out of the chaos
that exists at present in the car parking
issue and make it really simple and easy.
• Hence, this concept when released into
the world, will be one of those
revolutionary changes in everyday
activities.
