INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL-IQAC

The IQAC of the college was established on 01/06/2005 with the intention of planning, guiding and
monitoring quality assurance (QA) and quality enhancement (QE) activities of the college.
Purposes of the IQAC:
• To monitor the process of the teaching, learning and evaluation.

• To maintain quality standards in teaching, learning and evaluation. developing infrastructure

facilities and support Services


• To encourage/promote co-curricular, extra-curricular and other activities as part of asserting

quality in teaching, learning and evaluation.


• It interacts with Students, Teachers, Parents, Alumni and Management to ensure co-ordination for

quality maintenance.
• To coordinate with various departments of the college.

• To support teaching and non-teaching staff to go through orientation, refresher courses, seminars,

workshops, International and National Conferences.

Curricular Planning and Implementation
 The College follows a curriculum designed by Karnataka State Akkamahadevi
Women's University, Vijayapura.
Our faculties pro-actively participate in curriculum preparation in the capacity
of Member, Syllabus Board, Academic Council, Syndicate & Senate.
 Feedback from the stakeholders such as Students, Teachers & Alumni etc.
To make the curriculum in tune with the emerging national and global trends
and relevant to the local needs .
 Regular monitoring of the completion of syllabus done by the Coordinator and
Chairperson of the IQAC.
 Issues discussed in the parent-teacher meet.
 Curriculum displayed on display board, through induction classes and also on
website of the College.

Hostel Facilities
 Women’s Hostels – 02
 The college is facilitated with two hostels one
is exactly opposite to the college and the
other is lactated very close to college. The
capacity of accommodation of the two hostels
is 350 and 200 hundred respectively
