Printing Notes and Handouts

Printing your notes is straightforward and relatively easy. You can also print handouts to
give to your students. It is also possible to send your presentation to word to create a
variety of materials.

Once you have created the

presentation, select File 
Print. The Print dialogue
box provides ready access
to printing options.
1. Choose what you want
to print – slides,
handouts, note pages or
outline view. For copies
to give to your students,
select Handouts.

2. Next, you need to select

the number of slides
you want displayed on a
page. Three slides per
page will give you lines
beside each slide for
note taking.

3. You may also choose to print in grayscale, color, or black and white. Click the OK
button when you are ready to print.

You can also export your PowerPoint to Microsoft

Word. You can create an outline or a set of hand outs
that have slide miniatures and black lines for taking
notes.
1. Click on File and scroll to the Send To option.
Scroll down to the Microsoft Office Word
option.

2. In the pop-up box, choose the way you want

your slides to look on the page. Then click on
the OK button. The slides will start the
conversion process and Microsoft Word will
be opened.

3. When it is finished, click on File and scroll to

Save As. Give the file a name.
