Lesson 2 - Weather

1) The lesson is about different types of weather for grade 2 science. The learning outcomes are for students to know and describe different kinds of weather. 2) An introductory video will be shown about different weather types and their descriptions. Then students will do an experiment dropping colored water onto cotton balls in a glass to demonstrate how rain forms from clouds. 3) Students will independently write about the steps and results of the experiment. Then the teacher will ask students to describe different weather types. The teacher reflects that the experiment helped students understand how rain forms but another activity may further their understanding.

Opening
At the first of the class I will show the children a video about the weather that shows the
different kind and the description of each kind of weather.

Activity 1
We will do an experiment about how the clouds will be rainy. We will bring a glass and put
cottons on the top of the glass and then drop some drops of the colored water and see what
will happen.
Independent Experience
Students will write the steps of the experiment and the results of this experiment.

The teacher will ask the children to describe any kind of weather.

Reflection :
WWW : the experiment I did was helpful for the children to know how we get rain
from clouds.
EBI : I think that if there was another activity it help children more with
understanding the lesson.
