Fourth Quarter
(WEATHER CONDITIONS)

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to;
A. Identify different weather conditions;
B. Act out activities that can be done in different weather condition;
C. Aware in things that we can wear in certain kinds of weather.

Yes. If it is a sunny day, the sun is shining brightly and


the sky is clear. We usually wear fine clothes.
Why do you think people wear fine clothes during this “People use these because the weather is very

during rainy day? “The sun cannot be seen, the clouds are dark,
and the rain is falling ma’am.

On a rainy day, people stay inside the house and
children cannot play outside.

What do you wear when rainy days? “We wear cozy jacket, pajama and socks
ma’am, also boots when we go outside.”

Take a look in our third illustration.

What do you see in the picture? “The boy and girl are flying their kite.”

On what weather condition do you fly your kites? “During windy day.”

Yes, again how do you describe windy day?


“The air is blowing hard.”
That’s right! If the sun is shining,
clouds are slightly dark or clear and the
air is blowing hard, then it is a windy day.

“Who can describe a cloudy day? “The sun cannot be seen and there are plenty
of slightly dark clouds yet the rain is not falling.”

Yes. Our fourth illustration is a cloudy day. On a


cloudy weather, we can see thick clouds in the sky. It “There is a heavy rain ma’am.”
is a cold and fine weather.
How about our last picture? Who can describe?

“it is stormy day ma’am”

Very Good. So what weather condition is it?


Exactly! Give her 2 padyak and 3 palakpak.
During a Stormy Weather, the wind is very strong and
heavy. It is very dangerous to go out on this day. So,
people stay inside the house and children do not have
classes. “None ma’am!

It is important to watch weather updates every day for


us to be able to prepare everything we need to protect
our family and ourselves to possible danger.
We must be ready always especially during rainy or
stormy weather.

E. Elaborate
1. Generalization
“Again, from our discussion what are the different
weather conditions? “These are the sunny day, rainy day, windy
day, stormy day and cloudy day ma’am.
“Yes very good that is correct! Then what are things
we can do during those weather conditions? “When sunny day we can do all outdoor
activities like playing outside, washing clothes
and many more. When it is rainy we are just
inside our house and play or watch movies.
When windy day we are allowed to play kite.
And if cloudy we can play lego and board
games. If stormy day we can just stay at home
and do crafts or sleep and eat comfort foods.
“Very good class. Will you please tell me the
appropriate clothes or stuff we can wear or use during “We use umbrella, rain coat, boots and cozy
