Vehicle control unit

The electronics command of the NH and FH vehicles are based on a number of control units, for different components
and functions, communicating with each other via two joint data links. The system is thereby flexible and expandable.

The purpose of the vehicle control unit is to collect data from different cab controls and to send this to other control
units in the system.

The vehicle control unit also has built-in functions which were previously controlled by the combination relay (D12A
engine).

The vehicle control unit constitutes part of the integrated vehicle electronics which are standard on all new FH and NH
vehicles, irrespective of other equipment. The control unit is normally placed in connection with the electrical centre in
the cab.
