Alfelor Sr. Memorial College Poblacion Zone 2, Del Gallego, Camarines Sur Solid Geometry

1) The document is a semi-final exam for a solid geometry class containing 10 true/false questions about lines and planes in space and their relationships. 2) The questions cover topics like whether lines or planes are perpendicular to other lines and planes, and rules for when lines or planes intersect or are coplanar. 3) It is meant to test a student's understanding of basic geometric concepts involving lines and planes in three dimensions.

I. Tell whether each of the following statements is true or false.

1. If a line is perpendicular to two lines in a plane, it is perpendicular to the plane.

2. If three lines are perpendicular to the same line at the same point the three lines
are coplanar.

3. Through the given point outside a given line more than on plane can be passed
perpendicular to a given line.

4.Through a given point outside a given plane, only one line can be drawn
perpendicular to the given plane.

5. Though a given point a given plane only one plane can be passed perpendicular
to a given plane.

6. If a plane is not perpendicular to the edge of a dihedral angle it is not

perpendicular to both faces of that angle.

7. If two planes are perpendicular to each other, a line perpendicular to one of

them will lie in the other.

8.If two planes are perpendicular to each other, a line drawn from a point in one of
them to a point on the other is perpendicular to the other plane.

9. if two lines are perpendicular to see each other, a line perpendicular to one of
them will lie in each other.

10. If each of the two intersecting planes is perpendicular to a third plane, their
intersection is also perpendicular on that plane.
