Preface
This Thermo King User’s Manual contains confidential information of Thermo King, and is
intended solely for the use and support of persons who are registered users of the Thermo
King iService™ System. If you are not a registered user of iService™, please call the
Thermo King iService Support Center at 1-877-272-7877, or email websitesupport@Thermo
King.com to apply for registration, and refrain from using the manual until you have been
authorized to do so by Thermo King. The use of this manual by registered users is subject to
the terms and conditions of the iService™ System Access and Use Agreement between the
registered user or its employer, and Thermo King, which among other things:

Notice that all parameters require a certain number of characters to complete a search
(stated in red beneath the search field). Your search results will be narrower if you use
more characters. The ‘Search’ button will remain disabled until you enter the minimum
number of required characters.
NOTE: The Search page allows you to view your Pick Lists, or personalized lists of
Thermo King parts. To access, navigate to the top right of the screen and click the Pick
List icon ( ). Refer to the ‘To access existing Pick Lists’ section for more information.
NOTE: Dealer users who log in through iService can set up customer users through the
‘Register a Customer Link’ on the initial search screen. This link is located in the top right
of the screen. Refer to the ‘Thermo King® Customer Registration FAQs (for Dealers with
iService Accounts ONLY)’ section for more information.
3. Click ‘Search’ or tap your ‘Enter’ key to execute a search. The search results screen
displays, populated with models and grids related to your search parameters. Refer to
the image below for panel information.
‘Part Number’ or ‘Part Any parts matching the search parameter will be
Name’ search selected on the Grid Details screen (discussed in
steps 5-7). Parts are tied to particular grids.
‘Cross Ref. Number’ The application will pull up the Thermo King part
search number associated with the cross reference
number. To access the search results screen:
4. Perform any required operations on the search results screen. Options include:
Narrow the information in the Model and Grid Panels
Refresh the models listed on the selected grids
Display a preview
View associated read-only notes
NOTE: The information below refers to specific features available on the search results
screen. The process, including accessing grid details, is continued with steps 5-7.
i. On the search
results screen,
navigate to the
textbox areas
under the Model
or Grid
headings (in the
Model or Grid
Panels,
respectively).
ii. Click the radio button to select the needed filter (‘Part Number’ or ‘Part
Name’).
iii. Enter the information to filter by into the textbox under the Model or Grid
heading. The filter is based on the information displayed in the Model and
Grid Panels.
NOTE: The ‘Part Number’ field does not allow partial searches and
requires the entry of the full/exact part number. The ‘Part Name’
field allows partial searches.
iv. Click the Go button. The Model or Grid Panels display the filtered results.
i. On the search
results screen,
single-click a
grid in the Grid
Panel. The
selected grid
will highlight
blue.
ii. The
models/units
displayed in the
Model Panel
refresh,
showing a
‘where used’ list
for the grid.
NOTE: You can also refresh the grids displayed based on a selected
model or unit (in the Model Panel). Single-click a model or unit in the
Model Panel, and the Grid Panel will repopulate with all grids used in or
associated with the selected model or unit. This action updates the
relationship among grid, model/unit and the original search results.
On the search results screen, click the needed grid in the Grid Panel. The
Preview Panel (at right) displays the image associated with the grid.
5. Double-click the needed grid in the Grid Panel, or click the image in the Preview Panel
on the search results screen to access the Grid Details screen.
6. The Grid Details screen displays. Refer to the image below for panel information.
i. Tap the ‘Backspace’ key at any time during an EPC session to return to
the initial search screen.
NOTE: If you are on the search results screen, click the search icon
( ) in the top right of the screen.. The search area displays in the
center of the screen.
NOTE: If
needed, click
the checkbox in
the top left (to
the left of the
‘Ref’ header) to
select all parts
in the Part List
Panel.
ii. Once selected, click the Export to PDF icon ( ) located in the top right
of the Part List Panel.
NOTE: This feature allows you to navigate among the grids accessed
from a search without returning to the search results screen to select
each grid.
NOTE: Level 0 indicates the part selected in the Part List Panel.
Level -1 indicates what the selected part has replaced. Level +1
indicates what replaces the selected part.
NOTE: If
needed, click
the checkbox in
the top left (to
the left of the
‘Ref’ header) to
select all parts
in the Part List
Panel.
ii. Once selected, click the Pick List icon ( ) located in the top right of the
Part List Panel.
NOTE: If
needed, click
the checkbox in
the top left (to
the left of the
‘Ref’ header) to
select all parts
in the Part List
Panel.
ii. Once selected, click the Pick List icon ( ) located in the top right of the
Part List Panel.
i. A Pick List is a personalized list of specific parts that can be from across
different grids. To access Pick Lists, navigate to the Select the Pick List
icon ( ), located in the top right of the search results screen and the Part
List Panel of the Grid Details screen.
NOTE: Ensure you do NOT have any parts selected in the Part List
panel if you are accessing this feature from the Grid Details screen.
ii. The Pick List screen displays with Pick List titles on the left and selected
Pick List information on the right. (The selected Pick List is highlighted in
blue.)
NOTE: To delete an entire Pick List, click the checkbox to the left of
the Pick List title, and click the Delete icon ( ) on the left side of
the screen.
iii. To view a Pick List, click the appropriate Pick List name on the left. The
Pick List displays at right.
Save changes
Click the Save icon ( ) located on the right side of
the screen.
Delete unneeded Click the part’s checkbox, and then click the Delete
parts
icon ( ) on the right side of the screen.
Exit the Pick List Click the X-icon in the top right of the Pick List screen.
Use the Zoom In ( ), Zoom Out ( ) and Fit to Width ( ) icons in the top
right of the Illustration Panel (on the Grid Details screen) to make onscreen
viewing adjustments to the preview image.
i. Click the Print icon ( ) in the top right of the Illustration Panel (on the
Grid Details screen).
iii. Click the Print button. Your Window’s Print dialog window will appear.
i. In the Notes
Panel on the
Grid Details
screen, click the
‘Public’ link.
The link will turn
blue when
selected.
NOTE: To print public notes, click to select the checkboxes to the left of
the appropriate note(s). Click the Print icon ( ) in the top right of the
panel to print. Your Window’s Print dialog window will appear.
i. In the Notes
Panel on the
Grid Details
screen, click the
‘Stickies’ link.
The link will turn
blue when
selected.
Add a Sticky
Click the Add Sticky icon ( ) located in the top right
of the Notes Panel. Enter a new note in the textbox.
Click ‘Save’ to save changes, or ‘Cancel’ to close the
textbox.
Search Results
I searched by ‘Part Name’ / ‘Part Number’. Why did I only access models and grids on
the search results screen?
The search results screen only displays information at the model and grid level. Double-
clicking the needed grid displays the Grid Details screen. If you searched by ‘Part Name’ /
‘Part Number’, then any search results will be selected in the Part List Panel.
Pick Lists
For information on accessing existing Pick Lists, refer to ‘To access existing Pick Lists’.
For information on generating a Pick List, refer to ‘To generate a new Pick List’.

NOTE: You can set up multiple user accounts for each customer.
2. You will be taken to the Electronic Parts Catalog where you should click on ‘Register a
Customer.’
NOTE: The Electronic Parts Catalog will continue to run in the background. When you
receive confirmation of a successful account registration, the sign-up form will reset, and
you can simply close out the window.
Customer Code / You will be able to identify your customers by the customer
Number codes/numbers you assign to them at this step. This number
is unique to each customer.
User Information You are required to enter the customer user’s first name, last
name, email address, and phone number.
User Name You will create a user name for the new user. This user name
will be the login name for the user’s MyThermoKing account.
If the user name you create is already taken, you can try
using a combination of letters and numbers.
User Names
Occasionally, the user name you created for your customer may already be taken. In this
case, you will need to create a different user name. You can try adding numerals or
changing some letters around to make your customer’s user name unique. Examples
include johndoe123, johndoes007 and john.doe52.
Email
Your customer’s email must be formatted
correctly (i.e. john.doe@email.com). If the
email is formatted incorrectly, you will be
prompted to enter a correct format.
