Brief Background
Enjoining different sectors of the community to participate on a whole day
competition not only increases fire safety awareness but more so it develops their
firefighting skills. The Fire Olympics will help us in developing camaraderie among our
responders and enabling the respective fire brigades to proactively respond to fire
incidents. This will mitigate the damages, if not totally prevent its occurrence.
Rationale
Given the geographic setting of our City where there are areas that cannot be accessed
by Fire trucks, empowering our force multipliers through skills development and training
is a must.
Objectives
Promote fire safety awareness and prevention
Capacitate city responders through skills training
Increase community participation and civic responsibility on fire safety
Strengthen rapport with the different sectors of the city.

Sustainability
Some of the equipment are heavy duty and can be reused with proper care and
maintenance. The program can be continuous through the annual inclusion in the
Peace and Order Public Safety (POPS) Plan.

realized as it will greatly benefit the whole city through emergency response
empowerment.
