I Year Presentation/ Seminar


General Guidelines
(i) Every student has to present a Seminar on the given topic during the scheduled time.

(ii) The students will also submit a single page (500 words) handwritten synopsis/ abstract of
their respective topic.
(iii) Duration for the presentation will be 10-15 minutes including the query session.
(iv) There must be only 10-15 slides in the presentation, including title slide and thank you
slide.
(v) First slide will contain the title of the seminar, presenter’s name and roll no., seminar
guide/supervisor name, date, department name and college name.
(vi) Second slide will be of overview of the presentation/ indexing/ list of contents that will be
included in the presentation.
(vii) From third slide onwards, the presentation may contain the following essential heads:
 Introduction/ about the topic details
 Construction details
 Working principle information
 Types of methods/ devices
 Block diagrams and Figures
 Merits/ Demerits of the system
 Comparison with any other system
 Applications
 Conclusion
 References
Any other point may also be include (if required)

(viii) It is preferable to include more graphical content rather than text/ theory content (which
you are going to deliver while presentation), but important mathematical relations and
other expressions should be included in the slides.
(ix) All the slides must be numbered starting from title slide.

Note: Students have the option of changing the seminar topic only on the recommendation of
student guide/ Mentor (by proposing a topic of his choice), but final decision will be held by
Department panel which includes HOD (Mentor) and HOD (Administration).
