COT 2 (April 22, 2022)

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
a. Identify the hardware components of a computer system and their
functions.
b. Appreciate the importance of the computer in the physical world; and
c. Perform the functions of each hardware component of computer system
by singing, rapping, and making a poem.

II. Subject Matter

III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities

 The teacher will present a 4 pics 1 word game to guess the
pictures for giving an idea about the lesson.
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
 The teacher will introduce the topic.
 The teacher will introduce the learning objectives.
2. Discussion
 The teacher let the students define the computer.
 The teacher will ask what things does a computer need
to work?
 The teacher will show a video presentation on how the
computer works with its major components.
 Discuss the basic set of hardware computer system
found in most PCs and their functions.
 Show picture examples of each component.
 The teacher will ask one question to the students
based on the video presentation.

our physical world?
3. Application
 The class will be divided into three groups. Each group
will perform functions of each component by singing,
rapping and poem. Each group will be given 5 minutes
to prepare their performance.

4. Generalization
 The teacher will conduct a short review of the topic.
 The students will answer these given questions:
a. What is a computer?
b. How hardware works in computer system?
c. Give 10 examples of hardware

Identify what hardware is described below. Write your answers in ½ sheet
of paper.
