On the parallel track, we encounter compound sentences, where
independence is celebrated and connection is curated. Here, two
or more independent clauses join forces, united by coordinating
conjunctions or punctuated by semicolons. Through exploration
and experimentation, we will navigate the terrain of compound
sentences, discovering how they contribute to fluidity, coherence,
and rhythm in our written and spoken discourse.
Compound Sentences:
Definition: A compound sentence consists of two or more
independent clauses joined by coordinating conjunctions (such as
and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet) or punctuation marks (such as a
semicolon).
