THE PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OFFICE (PESO)
The Public Employment Service Office or PESO is a non-fee charging multi-employment service facility or entity established or accredited pursuant to
Republic Act No. 8750 otherwise known as the PESO ACT of 1999 and it is linked to the regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment
(DOLE) for coordination and technical supervision and to the DOLE central office, to constitute the national employment service network.
Mission
To provide, promote and facilitate employment services to job seekers, employers and stakeholders
through capacity development and linkage with government and non-government entities.
Vision
An effective, efficient institutionalized multi-employment service facility equipped with God-fearing,
dynamic leaders and empowered committed to serve with competence and integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities
The PESO MANAGER (Ms. MA. VICTORIA MARGARET DC JIMENEZ), responsible for:
• Attends meetings when called by the Local Chief Executive, DOLE and other agencies.
• Participates in meetings/trainings/activities conducted by DOLE, the LGU and other private institutions with related program on employment
• Performs employment facilitation process such as the conduct of preliminary interview, job matching, referral and follow-up with employer.
• Deals with any problems and resolve them whether internal or external matters relating to the operation (i.e. operational or staff management).
• Encourage employers to submit to the PESO on a regular basis a list of job vacancies in their respective establishments in order to facilitate the
exchange of labor market information between job seekers and employers by providing employment information services to job seekers.
• Organize job fairs and other DOLE programs in the local level and recruitment assistance to employers.
• Ensures that safe and friendly working practices are adopted by co-staff within the unit at all times.
• Develops action plans, budget proposals and do all reports and correspondences needed in the implementation of programs and services.
• Maintain a systematic process flow to ensure the effective and efficient running of the office and to avoid complaints from the clients.
• If required to do so in “emergency situations” (i.e. situations where extreme staff shortages arise) undertake duties assigned to co-staff to cover his/her
absences and avoid delay of transaction.
• Ensure, by regular checking, that the quality of the service is consistent to the desired standard.
• Deals with any problems and resolve them whether internal or external matters relating to the operation (i.e. operational or staff management).
• Assists applicants in answering questions and help walk-in applicants about labor market information and application procedures.
• Encourage employers to submit to the PESO on a regular basis a list of job vacancies in their respective establishments in order to facilitate the exchange
of labor market information between job seekers and employers by providing employment information services to job seekers.
• Organize job fairs and other DOLE programs in the local level and recruitment assistance to employers.
• Do other tasks that may be assigned by the PESO Head.
