HOUSE OF LINES >

Satara, Maharashtra

Plot Area: 5,427 sq ft

Built-up Area: 8,386 sq ft
Project Timeline: 2016 – 2017
Project Cost: 8,000 – 10,000 per sq ft

Located in the mixed-use area of the Satara city, the site is

nestled between tall buildings, abutting a busy road towards

East. Close proximity of structures around the site constraint

site views, while disturbing the privacy of the users.

The client brief was to design a lavish home for a busy

couple and their kids with a requirement of three master

bedrooms, two guest bedrooms along with living/

dining areas, kitchen, family room, home theatre and

a gymnasium. The design challenge is perceived as an

opportunity to abstract a volume that creates its own

views, and is enclosed within the landscape to retain

privacy.
