RESOLUTION NO. 06
SERIES OF 2023

A RESOLUTION ON ACCESS TO INFORMATION

WHEREAS, the School Governance Council of Banisilon Central Elementary School


recognizes the importance of transparency and effective communication in fostering
a collaborative and informed school community;

WHEREAS, the Banisilon Central Elementary School School Governance Council


acknowledges the significance of providing access to relevant school data and
information to all stakeholders, including but not limited to parents, teachers,
students, and community members;

WHEREAS, the School Governance Council believes that transparency strengthens


trust, encourages engagement, and contributes to the overall success of the school;

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Banisilon Central


Elementary School School Governance Council hereby establishes the following
guidelines and principles regarding access to school data and information:

1. Transparency Board: The establishment and maintenance of a


Transparency Board, prominently displayed in a central location within the
school premises, where key information, updates, and announcements will
be regularly posted.
2. School Resource Center (SRC): The School Resource Center shall serve as
a repository of essential school documents, reports, and information
accessible to all stakeholders during regular school hours.
3. Online Portal: The creation and maintenance of a secure online portal or
website, ensuring that stakeholders have convenient access to a wide range
of school-related information, including academic calendars, policies,
meeting minutes, and other relevant documents.

4. Regular Communication: The commitment to regular and proactive
communication through newsletters, emails, and other communication
channels to keep stakeholders informed about school activities,
achievements, and any changes in policies or procedures.
5. Open Meetings: Encouraging and promoting open School Governance
Council meetings, where stakeholders are welcome to attend, observe, and
participate in discussions, fostering a culture of inclusivity and
collaboration.
6. Feedback Mechanism: Establishing a feedback mechanism, such as
surveys or suggestion boxes, to allow stakeholders to express their opinions,
concerns, and suggestions regarding school matters.
7. Training and Awareness: Providing training and awareness programs for
school staff, parents, and students on the importance of access to
information, promoting a shared understanding of the benefits of
transparency in the school community.
8. Compliance with Applicable Laws: Ensuring that all practices related to
access to information comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws
governing the privacy and confidentiality of certain school records.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT the Banisilon Central Elementary School School


Governance Council shall regularly review and update these guidelines as
necessary to adapt to changing circumstances and to continuously improve
transparency and communication within the school community.

WE HEREBY CERTIFY TO THE CORRECTNESS OF THE FOREGOING


RESOLUTION.
