SECTION B: SUBJECTIVE TYPE QUESTIONS

Answer any 3 out of the given 5 questions on Employability Skills (2 x 3 = 6 marks)
Answer each question in 20 – 30 words
Q.5 A regular follow up and review of the communication is important for
appropriate actions. Such follow up helps in removing barriers in
2
effective communication. Try to communicate in person as much as
possible to avoid misinterpretation of the information.
Five symptoms of stress in our body are following:
• Headaches, dizziness, shaking.
• High blood pressure.
Q.6 2
• Chest pain.
• Digestive problem.
• Becoming less social.
Keep a track of your time you spend in your daily life. This way you
will waste less time on unwanted activities. You will be able to analyse
Q.7 2
the level of achieving your short term and long term goals at the end of
the day.
Any data in the computer is stored in the form of a file. That is why a
file is said to be a collection of logically related data. Every file has its
own unique name which is made up of two parts: file name and
extension.
Q.8 2
Folder is a collection of related files and subfolders. A sub-folder may
contain one or more files and subfolders within. Folders do not occupy
any disk space. They point to specific file locations within the file
system of the computer.
The backup data can be used to recover the unexpected deleted file. This
has become an important process these days in most of the companies
Q.9 2
and organisations so that their business can continue to function smoothly
and their customers do not face problems.
Answer any 4 out of the given 6 questions in 20 – 30 words each (2 x 4 = 8 marks)
Q.10 The three domains of AI are: 2
a)Data Science
b)Computer Vision
c) Natural Language Processing
Q.11 The two applications of Data Science are:
a) Recommendations: Data Science is implemented in e-commerce
websites like Amazon and Flipkart. It is also the logic behind Netflix
and Spotify recommendations. Based on the consumer’s choices of
product, the e-commerce websites provide the suggestions of
related products. 2
b)Price predicting websites: Data Science is used in predicting the
price of products or services based on customer’s demand, seasonal
trends, prices of competitive markets and many other factors in
almost everywhere like technology, hospitality, automobiles,
durables, apparels, etc.
Q.12 Following are some of the ways how CV is being used in our
smartphones:
•• Categorization of Photos in your Phone:
Smartphones use CV to categorize the photos on your phone under the
different categories. For example, if you try to search for “Cakes” in the
photos folder it will show you all the pictures with cake in it. 2
•• Face Lock in Smartphones: Nowadays smartphones come with a new
security system of using face recognition to lock and unlock phones. It
uses the front camera to detect the features of the face and save it. Once
it is stored, every time to unlock it matches the input face with the
features already stored in it.
Q.13 The problem statement template gives a clear idea about the basic
framework required to achieve the goal. It is the 4Ws canvas which
2
segregates; what is the problem, where does it arise, who is affected,
why is it a problem? It takes us straight to the goal.
Q.14 Any Artificial Neural Network, irrespective of the style and logic of
implementation, has a few basic features as given below.

brain and nervous system.

Q.15 Unsupervised Learning: An unsupervised learning model works on
unlabeled dataset. This means that the data which is fed to the machine
is random and there is a possibility that the person who is training the
model does not have any information regarding it. The unsupervised
learning models are used to identify relationships, patterns and trends out
of the data which is fed into it. It helps the user in understanding what the
data is about and what are the major features identified by the
2
machine in it.
OR

that is neither classified nor labelled and allowing the algorithm to act on
that information without guidance. Here the task of the machine is to
group unsorted information according to similarities, patterns and
differences without any prior training of data.

Answer any 3 out of the given 5 questions in 50– 80 words each (4 x 3 = 12 marks)

Q.16 a. AI Bias
b. The AI machine was trained on limited data – only whte people
it used only health care costs to determine risk values
2
c. By training the machine on data involving people of all genders,
races, communities, etc.
d. Insurance, patient age, etc

Q.17 a. Quality Education:
i. Providing education remotely, leveraging hi-tech, low-tech and no-tech
approaches;
ii. Ensure coordinated responses and avoid overlapping efforts;
iii. Ensuring return of students to school when they reopen to avoid an
upsurge in dropout rates. 2

Clean Water and Sanitation

i. To increase access to clean drinking water and sanitation mostly in
rural areas
ii. Managing our water sustainably to manage our production of food and energy
Q.18 Phase 1: Problem Definition - Define the scope and objectives of the
chatbot, identify key customer support challenges.

Phase 2: Data Collection and Preparation - Gather customer interactions,

FAQs, and past support tickets.

Phase 3: Model Development and Training - Choose a natural language

2
processing model, preprocess text data, train the model using relevant
algorithms.

Phase 4: Evaluation and Testing - Evaluate chatbot's responses with

human-generated responses, test on diverse customer queries.
Deployment: Deploy the chatbot on the company's website, monitor
performance, gather user feedback, and make necessary improvements.
Q.19 Who:
University Administration, Students, Faculty and Staff, Local
Community: Engaging neighboring communities in sustainability
efforts, fostering partnerships and shared goals.

What:
5. Sustainable Initiatives: Develop a range of projects, including waste
reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable
transportation. 2

Awareness Campaigns: Create educational programs and campaigns to

raise awareness about environmental issues and sustainable practices.
Infrastructure Improvements: Identify and implement upgrades such as
renewable energy installations, efficient lighting, and recycling stations.

Where:
8. Campus Facilities: Implement sustainable practices within academic
Page 5 of 6
buildings, residence halls, dining areas, and recreational spaces.
Outdoor Spaces: Transform outdoor areas into green spaces, community
gardens, and wildlife habitats.

Why:
10. Environmental Impact: Address the university's commitment to
sustainability by reducing its ecological footprint and promoting
responsible resource use.
Educational Opportunity: Provide students with hands-on experience
and practical understanding of sustainable practices.
Community Engagement: Create a positive impact on the local
community, encouraging sustainable behaviors beyond the campus.
Long-Term Benefits: Generate cost savings through energy and resource
efficiency, contributing to the university's financial stability.
Q.20 Artificial Neural Network: Modeled in accordance with the human brain,
a Neural Network was built to mimic the functionality of a human brain.
The human brain is a neural network made up of multiple neurons,
similarly, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is made up of multiple
perceptrons.
A neural network consists of three important layers:
Input Layer: As the name suggests, this layer accepts all the inputs
2
provided by the programmer.
Hidden Layer: Between the input and the output layer is a set of layers
known as Hidden layers. In this layer, computations are performed which
result in the output. There can be any number of hidden layers
Output Layer: The inputs go through a series of transformations via the
hidden layer which finally results in the output that is delivered via this
layer.
