Introduction : Krita: Free digital painting software for creating artwork, illustrations, and animations.
Interface:
1. Toolbar: Tools for drawing, painting, and editing.
2. Canvas: Main area to create artwork.
3. Dockers: Panels for layers, color selection, tool options, etc.
4. Menu Bar: Access to file operations, settings, and more.
Basic Tools and Functions
1. Brush Tool : Draw and paint with different brushes, Adjust brush size and opacity in the Tool Options
Docker.
2. Eraser Tool : Erase parts of your drawing, Functions like the brush tool with adjustable size and
opacity.
3. Selection Tools : Rectangular/Elliptical Selection: Select rectangular or elliptical areas, Freehand
Selection, Draw a freeform selection, Polygonal Selection: Select areas with straight lines.
4. Layers : Create, delete, and manage layers in the Layers Docker, Adjust layer opacity and blending
modes for different effects, Use layers to organize different parts of your artwork.
5. Color Selector : Choose colors from the Advanced Color Selector Docker, Use the color picker tool to
select colors from your artwork.
Basic Techniques
