to route calls through the secretary (Extension 101) and transfer them to

SV308 PABX Setup Guide for Company Call Routing Objective:

Configure the PABX to route all incoming calls to the Secretary (Ext 101),
who can then transfer calls to other departments.

I. Set Up Extensions :

Assign extensions as follows:


Secretary (Main Operator): Extension 101
Director: Extension 102
Commercial Department: Extension 103
Accounting Department: Extension 104
Human Resources (DRH): Extension 105
Check the phone for labeling or display of these extension numbers.

II. Configure Incoming Call Routing :

1. Log into Programming Mode:


Use the phone connected to Extension 101.
Enter `# *` to activate programming mode (you’ll hear a beep).

2. Set Main Incoming Call Destination:


Set all incoming calls to ring at Extension 101.
Check the programming manual for the exact code if needed
(typically, there’s a specific code for setting the default
ring extension).

III. Enable Call Transfer from Extension 101 :

1. Attended Transfer Process:


a) When a call rings at Extension 101, the Secretary answers.
b) Press the Flash button to initiate a transfer.
c) Dial the extension number of the desired department (e.g.,
102 for Director).
d) Wait for the other party to pick up and announce the caller,
if needed.
e) Hang up to complete the transfer.

2. Direct Transfer (Unattended Transfer):


After answering, press Flash, dial the department’s extension,
and hang up immediately to transfer the call directly without
announcing it.
IV. Optional Settings :

1. Do Not Disturb (DND): If certain departments don’t want to


receive calls at specific times, enable DND on their extension
(usually a code like `# * DND`).
2. Call Forwarding: For departments that may forward calls,
program forwarding options as needed.

V. Save & Exit

1. Save Changes : (usually automatic on the SV308).


2. Exit : programming mode by pressing `# #`.

Testing:

Make a test call to confirm calls ring at Extension 101 and can be
transferred to each department as required.

This setup should now allow the Secretary at Extension 101 to manage and
redirect calls seamlessly.
