Let’s celebrate the festival of

CMA Connection.

ICMAI-Ahmedabad Chapter
GENEREAL GUIDELINESS

➢ ZERO LIABILITY POLICY: The Captains and the players of all the teams participating
in this championship should acknowledge that the ICMAI – Ahmedabad Chapter is
NOT LIABLE for any injuries sustained (due to any reason) during CMA-CCL 2025 at
any time.
➢ DISCIPLINE POLICY: Any match issues related to CMA-CCL 2025 should be brought
up to the Sports Committee by the captain(s). During the match, any issue will be
first represented to the umpires and then to the sport committee
About CMA-CCL

• The CMA Connection Cricket League was established to unite busy professionals while
fostering a vibrant sporting spirit. This league is organized and managed by a dedicated and
enthusiastic sports committee of Ahmedabad Chapter.

• The CMA Connection Cricket League 2025 (#CMACCL2025) provides an excellent


opportunity for professionals to bond and unwind outside the office.

• This tournament features a league format consisting of 10-Overs matches League match
and Semi-Finals & 12-overs Match for Final.

• The competition will involve 12 teams and will culminate in semi-finals and a final, all
conducted in a vibrant stadium environment. Matches will be monitored by professional
umpires to ensure fair play.

• A captain’s meeting is scheduled to take place a few days before the tournament begins to
discuss essential details.
Let’s now have a look at the
grouping and matches of the
tournament
There will be 12 teams in Total
Each team shall be divided into 4
groups with 3 Teams in each group.
Top 2 Teams of each group shall then
meet for the next round of Quarter finals
which are knockout rounds.
After that we will be having the Semi-Finals
And then we will be having our
finalists who shall compete to be
the Champions of CMA-CCL 2025

➢ BLOWING RESTRICTIONS:

➢ For league matches & Semi-Final match : 2 bowlers can bowl a maximum of 3 overs and
rest of the bowlers can bowl a maximum of 2 overs.
➢ For Final matches: 4 bowlers can bowl a maximum of 3 overs each.

➢ POWER PLAY:

➢ Power Play – 1 [PP – 1]


➢ PP– 1 in which only 2 players can field outside the circle.
➢ For league Matches & Semi-Final Match, the first 2 overs are mandatory.
➢ For Finals, the first 4 overs are mandatory.

➢ POWER PLAY:
➢ Power Play – 2 [PP-2][Bonus Over]
➢ PP – 2 will be of 1 over only
➢ Taken by the batting team between 6 to 8 overs for League Matches & Semi-
Final Matches.
➢ Taken by the batting team between 9 to 11 overs for Final
➢ Double runs will be considered for runs from bat. All forms of being out
shall be considered as out in the PP.
➢ PP – 2 will last over as prescribed, if not taken between prescribed overs. 5

➢ Player Selection
➢ Any team can select a playing XI from 12 players allocated to them
➢ Every player should get at least one league match to be played that is Responsible of the
captain.

➢ Final eleven to be announced before the toss.

➢ SUBSTITUTE:
➢ Teams can get a substitute player from the waiting list of the registration sequence-wise
who is present in the ground. Then that substitute player shall be the part of that team
for the whole tournament.

➢ RETIRED HURT:
➢ During the batting any batsman who wants to retire hurt, will take permission from the
umpire. Umpire will decide it. The retired hurt batsman will bat at the last position if
retire hurt without injury. A batsman can come back any time after the fall of any wicket
if retires hurt with an injury with the permission of the umpire.
➢ During 1st inning at the time of bowling, if any player retired for any reason, he has to
bat at the last position during the match.
➢ In an event when a player from the fielding side leaves the field due to any reason and
comes back to the field after 'x' number of overs bowled, the player will have to wait the
same number of overs that he sat out before he can bowl in the innings. If any player
comes late after the game has begun, the same rule will be implemented.

➢ OTHER RULES:
➢ 4 players including at least 1 on the off side (in addition to the bowler and wicket-
keeper) are required to be inside the circle at all times.

➢ Minimum 6 players should be on the field from the fielding team to start a game.
➢ There will be No LBW.
➢ Minimum Eight players should be present for inauguration from each team.
➢ At the time of Inaugural Sessions, if any team with less than eight players then penalty
for 10 runs in their first match.
➢ Only players with proper uniforms will be allowed to play in all the games. No shorts
will be allowed in any circumstances.

➢ OTHER RULES:
➢ Bowling action deemed to be “throwing” by the Umpire(s) will result in that bowl being
a no-ball, and a warning to the bowler and his Captain. Second such instance in the same
game will result in a second and final warning (in addition to a no-ball being called).
Third such instance in the same game by the same bowler will result in the bowler being
disqualified for bowling in that game, and his over will be completed by another bowler
who has not bowled the previous over.
➢ If team walks off the field because of disagreement on umpire decision, they will have
forfeited the game and 2 points will be awarded to other playing team.
➢ Use of foul language or abusive behaviour may result in partial or complete ban of the
team or the player from CMA-CCL 2025.

➢ OTHER RULES:
➢ Rest of the rules will be as per ICC Formats.
➢ In case of a tie Match, there will be a super over.
➢ Sports Committee reserve the right to take any decision based on the circumstances.
TEAM
➢ Team will be based on 1 Captain and 1 retained players
➢ Remaining players shall be fairly distributed among the teams through a draw system
➢ The remaining players shall be fairly divided into the following categories based on the past
performance and participation:
Best Players
Average Players
New Players
➢ All these players will then be distributed fairly through a Draw System.
➢ Supposing there are 24 Best Players sorted out then each team will get 2 Best Players which will
be based on the Chit they pull out from the pool of best players.
➢ Then in the similar manner the Average players and the New Players will be distributed to all
the teams using the Draw System

ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATIOIN

Anyone who meets any of the following condition given


below shall be eligible for participation:
➢ All the Members.
➢ All the Qualified CMAs.
➢ All the students who has appeared for exam on or
after December 2021 attempt.
➢ All the Students who has done registration with the
Institute after 31st December 2021.
