PRATIK

It is no wonder that AI is one of the most marvelous human creations

There is a famous saying that; “A year spent in artificial intelligence is enough to
make one believe in God.”
Good evening; one and all myself Pratik and along with my teammates today I shall be
introducing everyone to the world of artificial intelligence
(SLIDE CHANGE)
starting from its earliest known origins as well as its future and various other aspects
(SLIDE CHANGE)
First off lets understand what the term Artificial Intelligence actually means , AI refers to
the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines. In other words Artificial
intelligence leverages computers and machines to mimic the problem-solving and
decision-making capabilities of the human mind. This happens by ingesting large
amounts of labeled training data, analysing it for correlations and patterns, and using
these patterns to make predictions about future states. They are important as their
uprising has increased efficiency beyond imagination and new business opportunities
have been generated.
(SLIDE CHANGE)
Now moving on let's take a look at the types of AI, they are broadly classified based on
two things: their capabilities and their functionalities.
Firstly based on capabilities we have
Narrow A.I.- Artificial Narrow Intelligence also known as “Weak” AI is the AI that exists
in our world today. Narrow AI is AI that is programmed to perform a single task —
whether it’s checking the weather, being able to play chess, or analyzing raw data to
write journalistic reports.

General A.I.- Artificial General intelligence or “Strong” AI refers to machines that exhibit
human intelligence. In other words, it can successfully perform any intellectual task that
a human being can. This is the sort of AI that we see in sci-fi movies in which humans
interact with machines and operating systems that are conscious, sentient, and driven
by emotion and self-awareness.

Super A.I.- Artificial Super Intelligence will surpass human intelligence in all aspects —
from creativity, to general wisdom, to problem-solving. Machines will be capable of
exhibiting intelligence that we haven’t seen in the brightest amongst us. This is the type
of AI that many people are worried about, and the type of AI that people like Elon Musk
think will lead to the extinction of the human race.

And then the second category that is based on functionality which divides AI as follows
Reactive Machine- Reactive machines are basic in that they do not store ‘memories’ or
use past experiences to determine future actions. It cannot refer to any of its prior
experiences, and cannot improve with practice.
Limited Memory- Limited Memory machines can retain data for a short period of time.
While they can use this data for a specific period of time, they cannot add it to a library
of their experiences. Many self-driving cars use Limited Memory technology
Theory of Mind- Psychology tells us that people have thoughts, emotions, memories,
and mental models that drive their behavior. Theory of Mind researchers hope to build
computers that imitate our mental models, by forming representations about the world,
and about other agents and entities in it.
Self Awareness- Self-aware machines are the stuff of science fiction, though many AI
enthusiasts believe them to be the ultimate goal of AI development. Even if a machine
can operate as a person does, for example by preserving itself, predicting its own needs
and demands, and relating to others as an equal, the question of whether a machines
can become truly self-aware, or ‘conscious’, is best left for philosophers.

(SLIDE CHANGE)

On let's take a look at how the concept of AI came to be

The earliest recorded efforts in this field date back to 1642 that's when first Mechanical
calculating machine was built but it wasn't until 1837 when the First design for a
programmable machine was invented
In the year 1943 the foundations of neural networks was established by Warren
McCulloch And Walter pitts Drawing parallels between the brain and computing
machine
In the year 1950 Alan Turing introduces a test - the Turing test as a way of testing
machines’ intelligence
In the year 1955 at the Dartmouth conference The term artificial intelligence is coined
by John McCarthy
(SLIDE CHANGE)
In the year 1965 Eliza ,A Natural language program is created , Eliza handles dialogue
in any topic similar to the modern generation chat box
then of further development in the 70s and the 80s But one of the most major
development in the field of artificial intelligence is considered in the year of 1997 when
a computer program by the name of deep blue defeated the chess world champion
Garry kasparov And that when AI came into headlines everywhere and modern
developments in AI started

I would like to put a break on my words and would like to invite my friend Tarjani to take
over the presentation
TARJANI
(SLIDE CHANGE)
Thanks a lot Pratik now let's take a look at the various fields in which AI is applicable in
daily life we are well aware of the fact that is applied in the field of education which we
can clearly see in the present pandemic as how much it is helping the students and
teachers interact or even in the field of Healthcare where treatments which previously
seemed impossible are not possible thanks to Artificial Intelligence and many more
such fields which are visible on your screen but today we are mainly want to talk about
the business aspects of AI
Before we start and understand the various business aspects of artificial intelligence we
need to know that why the various technological advancements in Ai took over the
market by a Storm
We are well aware right now while being stuck in our homes for so long that how much
our life depends on AI and its functions both in the virtual and physical world or as a
matter of fact it even did depend on AI a lot in the pre pandemic era whether or not we
realised it did.
We can clearly see how much we depend on it based on the skyrocketing sales AI has
generated in different fields.

(SLIDE CHANGE)
Now to understand why this is so true lets take on a case study
The case study which I worked on today is about the American Car manufacturer
company Tesla
If you have been active on internet you definitely have come across the growth tesla
achieved in the past decade .The CEO Elon musk made a huge fortune and even briefly
became the richest man in the world and even today sits on a massive net worth of
around
195 billion US dollars
And the best part he did it by bringing a revolution of AI in America
Tesla launched the first Car which was capable of autopiloting. Let me quote Elon musk
here on how him And his company describe this technology they say that their
per-camera networks analyze raw images to perform semantic segmentation, object
detection and monocular depth estimation. Their networks learn from the most
complicated and diverse scenarios in the world, constantly sourced from their fleet of
nearly 1M vehicles in real time. A full build of Autopilot neural networks involves 48
networks that take 70,000 GPU hours to train. Together, they output 1,000 distinct
tensors (predictions) at each timestep.
Another addition to tesla’s AI collection which recently became marketable is the tesla
bot which is the next generation of automation, including a general purpose, bi-pedal,
humanoid robot capable of performing tasks that are unsafe, repetitive or boring. They
are even seeking mechanical, electrical, controls and software engineers to help us
leverage our AI expertise beyond our vehicle fleet.

(SLIDE CHANGE)

Now you must be wondering why AI is so popular and why it is such a big part of your
life well according to our findings it could be due to one of the following three reasons

First one is that during the pandemic your life started depending more and more on the
virtual world and hence AI become a significant part of your life

yet another reason could be the increasing demand of AI Over time which has
increased so much that one might even get peer pressured to include AI in their lives

Last but not the least the reason could be the changing lifestyle for example as we are
students the increasing workload of studies has made several household tasks at the
boarding or even impossible the stars are now being shifted to be done by artificial
intelligence bots.

(SLIDE CHANGE)
Now if you have incorporated AI in your business How does it benefit you?
let me present some of those here
First one is that it improves customer communication and saves costs , Things that aid
handling time are being reduced by significant percentage thanks to artificial intelligence

yet another benefit to the business is that it Streamline the hiring process and makes
the organisation more efficient

It also increases the accuracy of various tasks as well as create new opportunities such
as Demand of man-machine hybrid team and further if the stakes of the company
remain high It would create more jobs and the ones already at work won't be fired.

Having said that, I would like to invite my friend Atul to take over the presentation and
discuss the virtual world and how AI functions in it.

ATUL
(SLIDE CHANGE)
Thanks a lot Tarjani Now one of the greatest inventions artificial intelligence has ever
produced is the creation of the virtual world today be stuck in this pandemic and sitting
at homes we all are dependent to to connect with each other based on the virtual world
for laptops or mobile phones Today we shall be discussing to major parts of the virtual
world the virtual reality and the virtual assistants. so, let's get into it

First of all virtual reality: Virtual reality is a form of technology which creates computer
generated worlds or immersive environments which people can explore and in many
cases, interact with.Virtual reality can recreate sensory experiences, including virtual
taste, sight, smell, sound, touch, etc.
(SLIDE CHANGE)
This has various applications in the human world
First is Business - Several companies built three-dimensional stock market graphics
Just by the help of artificial intelligence
further it has applications in Education - Such as we the Students of chemistry Can
deal with various dangerous chemicals and perform all sorts of experiments on them
without any risk getting potentially harmed
(SLIDE CHANGE)
Moving on to the topic of virtual assistants We all have definitely used one or the other
virtual assistant in our lives for at least heard of them so what exactly are they?
An intelligent virtual assistant (IVA) or intelligent personal assistant (IPA) is a software
agent that can perform tasks or services for an individual based on commands or
questions. The term "chatbot" is sometimes used to refer to virtual assistants generally
or specifically accessed by online chat. Some virtual assistants are able to interpret
human speech and respond via synthesized voices.
(SLIDE CHANGE)
Now we can even look at some of the methods this virtual reality assistant interact with
us Some of them include “Text”, including: online chat (especially in an instant
messaging app or other app), SMS Text, e-mail or other text-based communication
channel, for example Conversica's Intelligent Virtual Assistants for business.Meanwhile
the other methods include “Voice”, for example with Amazon Alexa on the Amazon
Echo device, Siri on an iPhone, or Google Assistant on Google-enabled/Android mobile
devices
Now that have presented you the various opportunities creates in the virtual world I
would like to invite my friends Saurabh to present you guys with what and how a i works
in the physical world

Saurabh
(SLIDE CHANGE)
Thanks a lot Atul , Now having come this far in our presentation today we're no
strangers to the fact that a I has a great significance even in our physical world
So let's take a look at few of those
First limited rating applicable in Various business industries some of which include
Health care
The contribution of the technology giants like Microsoft, Google, Apple and IBM in the
healthcare sector holds significant importance for the industry. AI is currently being
applied for a wide range of healthcare services, including data mining for identifying
patterns and then carrying out the more accurate diagnosis and treatment of medical
conditions, medical imaging, medication management, drug discovery and robotic
surgery.

2. Retail and E-commerce

Retail and E-commerce is perhaps the only space where the application of AI is the
most observable to the majority of end-users. Being a competitive space, retail
organizations always lookout for techniques to find patterns in consumer behavior and
thereby align their strategy to outsmart their competitors.

3.Manufacturing
It is beyond doubt that the manufacturing industry is leading the way in the application
and adoption of AI technology. In manufacturing, AI is being employed across several
lines and layers of operations, from workforce planning to product design, thus
improving efficiency, product quality and employee safety.

(SLIDE CHANGE)
Hey I also has taken the education industry on the path of a huge change let's put light
on some of those

First is Personalized learning with AI

AI-based devices offer personalized learning services for every student. Using ML
algorithms, AI-enabled education systems are customizing the learning materials based
on their knowledge, experience, and learning mode.

one may also consider the emergence of voice assistants

Digital voice assistants may be our next tutor in the coming years. Modern educators
are using voice assistants in offline environments. For instance, Alexa can get study
resources without the need to open a personal computer. It supports students in a way
how a teacher supports learning.
It also has several other factors such as it Helps educators in performing efficient
organizational tasks, it has Smart test preparation applications, More access to
each session for students , Individualized programs etc… because the list goes
on

(SLIDE CHANGE)

Now let's Discuss about robotics as it is yet another feature we can consider as an
application of artificial intelligence in the physical world

Robotic Applications that Use Artificial Intelligence are as follows

1st is Assembly
AI is a highly useful tool in robotic assembly applications. When combined with
advanced vision systems, AI can help with real-time course correction, which is
particularly useful in complex manufacturing sectors like aerospace.

2nd is Packaging
Robotic packaging uses forms of AI frequently for quicker, lower cost and more accurate
packaging. AI helps save certain motions a robotic system makes, while constantly
refining them, which makes installing and moving robotic systems easy enough for
anybody to do.

Then comes Customer Service

Robots are now being used in a customer service capacity in retail stores and hotels
around the world. Most of these robots leverage AI natural language processing abilities
to interact with customers in a more human way. Often, the more these systems can
interact with humans, the more they learn.
And the list goes on

(SLIDE CHANGE)

Now when looking into the topic of artificial intelligence one might also think where does
it’s future lie?
Here are some things I found out
AI will probably not make human workers obsolete, at least not for a long time.it will also
probably become the standard in all businesses, not just in the world of tech. It might
also have other impact such as taking with many jobs which humans acquire currently
and hence leaving many people jobless It is definitely going to have a major impact on
the medical Automotive and cybersecurity industries
but what truly lies in the future of AI we would have to wait and the time will give us
the answer
now I would like to put an end to my topic and invite my friend Sarthak to take over the
presentation

SARTHAK
(SLIDE CHANGE)

Thanks a lot Saurabh for introducing me now just like every invention humans have
made AI to has its pros and cons and ever since the beginning of the first Artificial
Intelligence chatbot popping up there has always been a debate whether in long run AI
would prove to be an angel or would you become a monstrosity from hell
now since a coin has two sides let's take a look at both the benefits and limitations of AI

First of all the benefits include the facts such as

AI drives down the time taken to perform a task.
It enables multi-tasking & eases workload for existing resources.
AI enables the execution of tasks which were far too complex for human abilities
AI operates 24x7 without interruption and does not need coffee breaks like humans to
be productive again
It also augments the capabilities of differently abled individuals
AI has mass market potential, it can be deployed across industries.
AI facilitates decision-making by making the process faster and smarter.

Having praised AI so much we need to keep in mind it also has an adverse side

(SLIDE CHANGE)

So lets take a look at few limitations

1. HIGH COST OF IMPLEMENTATION - a Real life example of which would be the

American Tech giant Apple acquired its virtual assistant Siri for about 200 million US
dollars

2. CAN’T REPLACE HUMANS -It is beyond any doubt that machines perform much
more efficiently as compared to a human being. But even then it is practically
impossible to replace humans with AIs, at least in the near future, because you can’t
build human intelligence in a machine as it is a gift of nature. So, no matter how smart a
machine can become, it can never replace a human.

3. DOESN’T IMPROVE WITH EXPERIENCE -AI’s as they are machines that can’t
improve with experience, rather it starts to wear and tear with time. Also unlike humans
machines can’t alter their responses to changing environments.

4. LACKS CREATIVITY
AI’s are not built for creative pieces of work. So, it should be crystal clear by now that
creativity or imagination is not the forte of the AI’s. Although they can help you in
designing and creating something special, they still can’t compete with the human brain.
Their creativity is limited to the creative ability of the person who programs and
commands them.

5. RISK OF UNEMPLOYMENT
With rapid development being made in the field of AI, the question that plagues our
intuitive brain is that – will AI replace humans? Honestly, I am not sure whether AIs will
lead to higher unemployment or not. But AIs are likely to take over the majority of the
repetitive tasks, which are largely binary in nature and involve minimum subjectivity

(SLIDE CHANGE)

Now finally on to the end of our session today let me give an epilogue of everything we
tried to present
First Of we saw its basic definition that AI refers to the intelligence demonstrated by
machines, as opposed to the natural intelligence displayed by humans or animals.

Then it was presented that they are classified on the basis of their capability and
functionality
further We moved on I looked at the origin of the AI in which some major events were
Heer 1955 where the term was coined for the first time and by John McCarthy on the
year 1997 where the ID to defeated the then world chess champion Garry kasparov

Then we start the various commercial applications of AI after which we went discuss
the various benefits which AI does to one's business such as improving customer
communication saving costs and even creating new opportunities

(SLIDE CHANGE)
We Also saw that In the Modern era AI has its application both in the virtual world and
physical world in the form of virtual assistants ,Virtual reality or the robots which are
taking over several jobs previous considered impossible for humans

we also saw the fact that a has both several advantages and disadvantages as well

Advantages include time effectiveness, multi-tasking makes complex tasks easier etc...
It also has a great market potential

Meanwhile limitations of AI are high cost of implementation, lack of creativity, doesn’t

improve with experience
It also generates risk of unemployment
Overall AI has the potential to do wonders in future and if not handled carefully can
result in a disaster
Which actually reminds me of a very famous quote that by Stephen Hawkins Where he
says That computers with AI will take over the world from humans within the next
hundred years And when that happens we need to make sure that computers have
goals aligned with ours.

(SLIDE CHANGE)

now having said that I would like to put an end to my words and also to the
presentation thank you for lending your ears to us and if anyone has any questions I
would be happy to open up the discussion
