Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment by the Deputation
(including short term contract) as per available RR to the post of Senior Scientific Officer,
Group A, Non-Ministerial, Level-1 'l (Rs.67,700-2,08,700) in the Regional Drugs Testing
Laboratory, Guwahati, CDSCO, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The details of
the post, eligibility criteria, job requirement, Age limit etc. required for the post are indicated
as per available RR attached as Annexure-|. The pay and other terms and conditions of
Deputation (including short term contract) will be regulated in accordance with DOPT'S order
as amended from time to time. lnterested candidates are requested to submit the application
with full Bio-data to Shri Pawan Kumar, Deputy Director (Admn.), Central Drugs
Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi-110002
within 60 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment news
through proper channel. The application Form / Curriculum Vitae proforma is at Annexure-ll.

Criteria
Officers of the Central Government, State Government, Union
territories, autonomous or statutory organisation, Public Sector
Undertakings, Universrty or recognised research lnstitution:

(a) (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or
department; or

(ii) with five years servlce rendered after appointment to the post on a
regular basis in level-'10 (Rs.56,100-1 ,77,5001) in the pay matrix or
equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or
(iii) with eight years service rendered after appointment thereto on a
regular basis in level-8 (Rs.47,600-1 ,51 ,100/-) in the pay matrix or
equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(b) possessing the following educational qualification and experience:

(i) Essential Qualification

Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or


Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine
or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university or institute.

(ii) Experience:

Six years experience in Drugs Testing and Standardization and research.

(iii) Desirable:

Doctorate in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical


Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology
or Biotechnology from a recognized University or lnstitute.

Note 1: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in


another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the
same or some other organization or department of the Central
Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

Note 2: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be


not exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of
applications.
