Weighing
Scale
The Common units that we use for measuring weight are grams and kilogram. The
unit gram (g) are used for small and light objects, while kilogram (kg) are use for
heavier objects.
1 kilogram (kg)= 1 000 grams (g)
5. Generalization
How can we measure the exact mass of an object? What are the
common unit used for measuring mass?
The exact mass of an object can be measure by using weighing scale and the
common unit for measuring mass are gram ang kilogram.
6. Application
Group Activity
Divide the pupil into three groups. The teacher will provide different activities for
each group. The following are the tasks that will be given to each group,
Group 3
Group Weighing Activity
Materials Needed: Weighing scale, paper, and pencil.
Steps:
1. Place the scale on a flat surface.
2. Assign a recorder to write down weights.
3. Each member takes turns stepping on the scale.
4. Add all weights to get the total.
Pupils Presentation
