Before we start this

module, let us check
first what you have
learned about
expressing fractions to
decimals and percent
and vice versa by
answering the
questions below
Pre-lesson Remediation Activity:
1. For Students with an Insufficient Level of Prerequisite Content-knowledge
and/or Skill(s):

The teacher will give the students more examples of different kinds of
proportions and explain it more clearly to the students.

2. For Students with a Fairly Sufficient Level of Prerequisite Content-

knowledge and/or Skill(s):

The teacher will give the students more examples of different kinds of
proportions and let the students answer a following examples and let them
explain how they get it.

Introduction: Must include the following parts:

1. Time frame : 3 hours
2. RUA: At the end of the lesson the students will be able to; identify the
different kinds of proportion and give examples for each (Understanding);
compare and differentiate ratio and rate (Remembering); and solve problems
involving direct, indirect or reverse, and partitive proportions (Application).
3. The students will be going to identify and apply different kinds of proportion
and give examples for each.
4. Overview of the Lesson : In this lesson you are going to identify the
different kinds of proportion and give examples of each; compare and
differentiate ratio and rate and solve problems involving direct, indirect or
reverse, and partitive proportions.

Student’s Experiential Learning:

Chunk 1 : Activity 1: Know me First! (Drawing attention to meaning )

Direction: State if the following equations and situations illustrates direct, inverse
or partitive proportion. Write your answer under the kinds of proportion column.
Formative question :
1. What are the ways you use to differentiate the given problems?
2. How would you identify what kinds of proportion is the given problem?

Chunk 2 : Activity 2: Find Me! (Prompting connections to prior knowledge)

Direction: Give what is being asked in the following problem. All answers must be
in simplified form.
