INTRODUCTION:
 Garbage had become a community problem in many communities. Over the last few
years there has been an increase in the use of plastic bottles, resulting in a substantial rise
in plastic waste in the Municipality of Mogpog.

As DILG mission: The Department shall promote peace and order, ensure public
safety, strengthen capability of local government units through active people participation
and a professionalized set of civil servants. The agency decided to implement a recycling
campaign in this town. There were trash segregations and awareness campaign,Indeed,
recycling is not just a matter of recovering recyclable materials ; its a total economic
system. One has to create a market for recycled products and consumers should learn to
buy recycled products.

Making or having the community ni Mogpog marinduque participate in the

recycling of plastic bottles to make them be aware that these waste materials can
be made into various products that would ensure profit for everyone. One could
say that recycling is wealth, there is a profitable business in recycling.

RATIONALE / BACKGROUND:

The fact that scattered wastes are the common problem in this town, the
implementation of this project is just at the right time. This can solve the problem in waste
segregations, waste disposal, on plastic waste at home that don’t know what to do with and
also to people who wants to start a simple yet profitable business at home. This wil help
one’s community to have a clean surrounding and improve the development of the whole
town.The importance of this program is that it help people to spend less and gain more, this
also help to give second chance to what’s already been used. It’s in the best interest of all
businesses to establish recycling programs. Recycling sets a good example for employees
and surrounding businesses and ultimately reduces an organization’s footprint. Reducing
costs during the manufacturing process is one way that recycling matters. It would be
significantly more expensive to make these products

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The implementation of this project proposal is aimed to not just help people to have
a business or extra income but also to help make the surroundings clean. A seminar will be
conducted to let the residents of the community be encouraged to produce a new product
form a recycled plastic bottles and let them know what benefits they can get in it. To
prevent and to lessen the improper waste disposal,to give people enough knowledge and
ideas of what a simple plastic bottle can do and also to reduce greenhouse gases. Start
collecting plastic bottles anywhere in the area of the community which may use to make
new products that can be a start of a small business by means of selling it in a affordable
price.With these people that will be engage in this program can maintain the environmental
sustainability and save these waste from being toxic pollutants or irritants from the
air.People don’t just save the community but also earn money.

GOALS / OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:

The implementation of the project has the following goals and objectives:

- to maintain the cleanliness of the community

- to teach people how to make everything valuable

- to help them earn money by selling the newly made products

- to reduce the number of waste plastic bottles

-to save our surroundings from greenhouse gases

- to reduce high rates of plastic pollution

-creating a direct value in waste materials specifically plastic bottles so as to attract

scavengers to collect these plastic wastes from the ground for recycling.

-to attract itinerant buyers to start moving from house to house to buy plastic bottles

TARGET BENEFICIARIES:

The main target beneficiaries of this project are the unemployed residents of the
Mogpog , Marinduque. The estimated percentage of unemployment is 38.5% of the total
population in the municipality. This project can be a big help to the residents in order to
sustain their needs in their everyday consumptions.

PROJECT / OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT:

The mean effects of products to beneficiaries / outcome of the project are:

 The garbages in the community will lessen.

 The unemployed residents can have an extra income.
 It can be a resource to conserve plastic waste.
 It can decreased pollution.
 It can conserve energy.

Site Analysis

Mogpog is a coastal municipality in the island Province of Marinduque which

is the heart of the Philippines. It has 37 barangays and has a land area of 108.06 square
kilometers or 41.72 square miles which constitutes 11.34% of Marinduque ‘s total area. Its
population as determined by 2015 Census was 34,043 . This represented 14.52% of the
total population of Marinduque province , or 1.15% of overall population of the MIMAROPA
region. Based on these figures , the population density is computed at 315 inhabitants per
square kilometeror 816 inhabitants per square mile.
 Recycling the plastic bottles in municipality of Mogpog can help the
community to become more clean and lessen the garbage waste in all the area of the
municipal . This project can be a way to support the unemployed residents in their everday
living even though its just a small amount.
