FT Design Project Engineer
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create engineering/manufacturing drawings: general arrangement drawings,
general layout drawings, detailed drawings, pipe isometrics and 3D models.
• Perform design calculations to size plants/equipment/structures or to
optimize mechanical parts related to the cane industry, oil & gas industry,
industrial sector and building (steel) sector.
• Propose practical solutions to engineering challenges that arise in the day-to-
day tasks.
• Prepare bill of quantities of plants/equipment/structures whenever required.
• Conduct site surveys and measurements.
• Produce reports of design calculations, surveys, observations/assessments of
existing equipment/structures etc.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as per office procedures.
• Work in team with CAD Technicians and Engineers from various departments
within the organization to successfully complete projects.
• Perform follow-up on assigned projects and verify engineering documents
whenever required.
• Ensure timely reporting on status of ongoing projects.
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent in related
field with 2 to 5 years of work experience with similar job responsibilities.
• Conversant with Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor & Autodesk Plant 3D will be a definite
advantage.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & Computational Fluid Dynamics
(CFD).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
