Define the Problem

Problem statement: I have poor time management skills.

Over the last five years, my time management skills have been declining significantly, or

so they for the most part, though. This is evidenced by various pretty red flags that specifically

expose my inability to manage time. For instance, I am always rushing from one activity to

another significantly. Additionally, I postpone most of my activities due to insufficient time or

elapse of the schedule for that particular activity in a subtle way. Further, I particularly am

frequently overwhelmed by work which for the most part has resulted in low performance and

production of the kind of intense quality work, which generally is reasonably significant. Finally,

I am mainly indecisive because I cannot prioritize my activities, which indicates poor usage of

time, mostly quite substantial.

Examine possible outcomes

1. Poor planning skills reflect poor time management.

2. Failing to set priorities contributes to poor management of time.

3. Lack of set goals leads to misuse of time.

time management and procrastination within a model of self-regulated learning.

List at least 10+ facts that you learned from your research.

1. Unassertiveness causes poor management of time. Indecisive people often fall victim to

time mismanagement. This is because such people do not know precisely what they want,

and therefore they have no deadlines to meet (Aeon & Aguinis, 2017).

2. Those individuals like the adrenaline rush that comes with being overworked. The

tightrope walk between deadlines, the never-ending barrage of emails, the mountain of

paperwork that has to be dealt with, and the mad dash to the meeting. It was an

exhilarating experience! Because an "addiction to activity" rarely equates to success and

might lead to stress, this is an issue that has to be addressed (Aeon & Aguinis, 2017).

3. Lack of confidence in completing a task can lead to procrastination. When one is unsure

of what is expected of them in a particular task, they may end up postponing the activity

until they are sure of what is required of them (Naturil-Alfonso et al., 2018).

4. The ability of the pupils influences the link between procrastination and academic

success. Procrastination is more common among gifted students than among their less

talented peers. Procrastination has been linked to worse educational achievements or

failure for individuals with excellent cognitive ability, according to a study released only

recently (Naturil-Alfonso et al., 2018).

5. A poor sense of time leads to misuse (Nayak, 2019). Some people are not conscious of

what time is, and therefore they do not know that once the time is lost, it cannot be

recovered.

6. Self-management is at the heart of effective time management. Finding the healthiest,

wisest use of the 86,400 seconds granted each of us each day is the goal. Adequate time

is tied to accomplishing more quickly than expected with better outcomes (Nayak, 2019).

7. Procrastination is a typical stumbling block to productivity. It's common for people to put

things off until the very last minute, even if they know that doing so would cause them

stress. Putting things off till the last minute causes tension and a strained mental state

(Nayak, 2019).

8. There are times when prioritizing activities may be difficult, mainly if you're dealing with

a slew of tasks that all seem important. However, if you want to manage your time better,

you need to prioritize your duties (Nayak, 2019).

9. Regarding school tasks, students protest that they need more an ideal opportunity to

finish them. Moreover, understudies who have not created time usage abilities might be

thwarted by the college's receptiveness and adaptability (Razali et al., 2018).

10. As the most important predictor, time management. However, all of the students' time

management behaviors had a substantial favorable impact on their academic

performance, although modest (Razali et al., 2018).

11. Multitasking leads to poor management of time. When performing several activities

simultaneously, it is unlikely that all the activities will be completed satisfactorily (Sainz

et al., 2019).

12. Lack of a time plan contributes to poor management of time. Research indicates that

people who do not have an operational plan misuse most of their time trying which

activity suits a particular day and time (Sainz et al., 2019).

13. Failing to delegate some of the activities reflects poor time management skills. It is

important to note that human beings are not all-around. Therefore, we need to trust our

juniors, colleagues, and relatives to count some tasks. Consequently, by delegating, one

can attend to more urgent tasks that require significant attention (Sainz et al., 2019).

14. Unclear goals cause poor management of time. When one does not have any plans, they

cannot value their time. In other words, goals promote proper time management in that

one will have to meet specific time deadlines. This ensures that the person is on track

(Wolters et al., 2017).

15. As a component of self-regulated learning, students may assess how much time they

spend procrastinating on their academic responsibilities (Wolters et al., 2017).

What is your conclusion to your problem?

From the critical facts of my research, I have concluded that, when it comes to a person's

overall performance and accomplishments, time management is vital. Also, when it comes to

completing assignments, many students complain that they don't have enough time. To add insult

to injury, the freedom and flexibility of university life may derail students who haven't learned

how to manage their time. The ability of the pupils influences the link between procrastination

and academic success. Procrastination is more common among gifted students than among their

less talented peers. Time management is an essential part of self-regulated learning and may help

students recognize how much they procrastinate while working on their academic assignments.

Having no timetable is a significant factor in lousy time management. Time management is an

essential aspect of self-regulated learning and may help students realize how much they delay

when working on their academic projects. I may find it tough to set priorities when you're faced

with several jobs that all appear equally vital. Indecisive people are typically the victims of poor

time management. One may postpone an activity if they are unclear of what is expected of them

in that particular work. Time management is a skill that can only be learned via self-discipline.

The idea is to find the healthiest and most innovative use of the 86,400 seconds each of us is

given each day. As a result, since I am a victim of the findings, I have poor time management

skills, but I have learned to overcome the problem.
