2. An antifreeze solution is prepared from 222.6 g of ethylene
glycol , C2H4(OH)2 and 200 g of water. Calculate the molality of
the solution. If the density of the solution is 1.072 g/ml, then
what shall be the molarity of the solution ? [ 2020,2018 ]
3. Vapour pressure of water at 293K is 17.535 mm Hg. Calculate
the vapour pressure of water at 293K when 25g of glucose is
dissolved in 450g of water. [2019]
4. Discuss the following :
(i) Osmosis (ii) Osmotic pressure (iii) Semi-permeable

5. Boiling point of water at 750 mm Hg is 96.63 C. How much
sucrose (C12H22O11) is to be added to 500g of water such that it

pressure of 2% aqueous solution of non-volatile substance X at
373K is 755 torr. Calculate molar mass of the solute. Vapour
