Over the last decade or so, India has seen a great deal of progress in terms of
economic and social aspects, driven by both Private and Public sectors. This
period has also seen a significant rise in conscious efforts by large Corporates to
structure their CSR & ESG commitments in a more holistic manner. Large and
high impact foundations and philanthropic organizations, like and American India
Foundation, as well as new age social enterprises have played a significant role
in delivering impactful interventions, and hence empowering the most
underserved sections of the Indian society.
Having briefly studied the work of AIF, and its areas of focus, I believe that this
position brings in the much-required efficiency and scale to the collaborations at
various levels and forms. The role has primary objective of effecting
collaboration with large corporates and UHNIs in the region, that would help AIF
to scale-up the impact in the region.
I have been working in the socio-economic impact and Government sectors for
about 12 years. I have worked in areas like education & skill development,
livelihoods, healthcare, urban transformation, defense procurement, strategic
sourcing, social impact investment, digital transformation of public services,
eGovernance etc. A large part of my experience involved managing external
stakeholders in the form of clients, corporate funders, key civil and multilateral
organizations etc. For every project I was part of over my 12-year career has
been, stakeholder and partnership management formed the essential
foundation.
This makes me highly excited as well as highly aligned to the role this particular
position demands. I believe that my experience is very much in line with what is
broadly expected out of this position.
I have worked with organizations like KPMG and Palladium Group on projects
having large-scale socio-economic impact. I am currently heading business and
project operations of a reputed education & skill development organization, with
an impact legacy of over 50 years. I am managing their large-scale, funded
programs, and also building corporate and fundraising partnerships for
implementation of employability-driven skill development programs, benefitting
over 5000 youths every year.
I have pursued my MBA in Operations and Supply Chain from National Institute of
Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai. NITIE is a premier management institute
in India, and ranks among the top ten institutes in the country. I am also a
technology graduate, having my bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering.
I am keen to pursue opportunities that involve heading operations of socio-
economic projects for a non-profit, partnership development & fundraising, high-
impact CSR projects, heading operations and business transformation for the
non-profit sector. I love exploring such opportunities, especially where there is a
scope to take up organization-level, digital transformation activities in the non-
profit sector.
With reference to the role applying, what do you see as your areas of strength?*
I have good project and program management experience. I have managed
large-sclae, high-impact programs in socio-economic impact space.
I have good experience of identifying and pursuing relevant business
opportunities. I have been involved in BD pursuits of over 25-30 Cr in value.
I have extensive experience in stakeholder management. I have managed
multiple, internal and external stakeholders as part of large-scale projects.
I good at conceptualizing & developing Socio-Economic Impact Projects,
developing relevant business models, operating models for large-scale programs.
I have excellent understanding of Business Process Re-engineering concepts,
approach and implementation of BPR projects.
I have good understanding of Digital Transformation. I have experience of
developing Product and Organizational Technology Roadmaps.
