DETAILED LESSON PLAN

IN MUSIC 5

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
A. Identify the fastness and slowness of Music
B. Appreciate the fastness and slowness of Music,; and
C. Demonstrate slow , moderate and fast tempo through movement.

A. Preparation

Who among you class, know what is dynamics?

Yes, Jay. Ma’am. Dynamics it is the loudness and softness


of the sound.

Dynamics measures the loudness and softness of


the sound or it’s volume (amplitude).

Dynamics changes in the volume of a musical


passage. Just as each note has a unique timbre
on each instruments, it also sounds different at
different volumes. Some musical conductors and
composers communicate dynamic information in
English using words like ‘’ Louder’’ and ‘’ Softer’’.
However, a formal musical slope usually features
traditional Italian. Words like Forte and Piano to
describe dynamic levels.

C. Lesson Proper

you what is Tempo. After that I will randomly ask
you, some questions so listen attentively and be
prepare.

Our lesson for today is about tempo in music.


Who among you know what is tempo?

Who wants to answer?


Ma’am, the speed of music like fast, moderate
and slow is what we called as tempo.

That’s right! ,Tempo is how fast or slow the music


is, tempos help the composer to convey a feeling
of either intensity or relaxation.

The tempo can have virtually any number of


beats per minute. The lower the number of beats
per minute , the slower the tempo will be.
Inversely , the higher the number of beats per
minute, the faster the tempo will be.

Will someone sum up what they have learned in


today’s lesson? The word tempo means ‘rate or speed; in other
words, it’s fast or slow something is happening. If

run, you are moving at a faster tempo.

Tempo is about a beat. We dance between work


and life, finding our rhythm in the movement.
Tempo is an ebb and flow, a consistent beat, or a
mix of slow and fast movements. Tempo is about
movement and flow, doing the right mix of
activities to deliver and achieve in purpose.

So how does tempo affect our emotions?


Music with a fast tempo has been found to evoke

excitement, delight, and liveliness, while music
with a slow tempo evokes negative emotions,
such as sadness, depression, and gravity.
