* CONDUCT COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT *

SCRIPT
Good morning everyone! Kindly stand for our short prayer, Amen! Pls be seated. My
name is Eduardo G Valiente Jr. I am your competency assessor. Here is my ID
proving that I am an accredited competency assessor. I will be the one to handle
you’re your competency assessor for Electrical Installation and maintenance NC 11.
And we are here at Centech or the Center for Technical Excellence. I would like to
acknowledge the presence of Mr. Ernest John Andiz, our Assessment Center
Manager, our representative from Tesda Provincial Office -Mr. Nerie Ramos, our
processing officer - Ms. Editha Gatchalian.

Mam and Sir, good morning…

Dear candidates you don’t have to worry about their presence. They are here to
observe the conduct of competency assessment and to check if the conduct is in
accordance with the prescribed competency assessment methods and procedures.
They will not assess you. I will be the one to handle or conduct your competency
assessment. Early in this morning, I have already check the facilities, and the
completeness of tools and materials.

Ok, let me first check your attendance. Kindly present to me your admission slip
together with your valid ID. Once your name is called pls sign the attendance.

May I call on Ms. Jocelyn Tavas/Ms. Rosette Santos to sign on the attendance sheet.

I have here with me your duly accomplished application form, self assessment guide,
and consent form. The consent form will give you awareness that this assessment
was being recorded.

Today, I am going to conduct your orientation before your competency assessment


on Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC 11. The context and purpose of this
assessment are the ff: NASA POWERPOINT

The units of Competency of Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC 11 are the ff:

I am going to gathered evidence using the assessment method to undertake such as


written examination, demostration with oral questioning.These methods will
measure your knowledge or skills for the qualifications.

Candiates if you have difficulty in understanding the instructions. I can translate the
instructions at your own dialects. If you have physical disability or daily religious
activity that need to perform, or who needs to take medication, just tell me so that I
could give time for you and address your needs.
If you need to go to the CR, it is located at the right side of the Practical Work Area.
If you want to eat, the Canteen is located at the back of Contextual Learning
Laboratory. But once the assessment have been started you are not allowed to
leave the premises.

Moreover, the issuance of National Certificate is 1 to 3 days. You can receive it


through your email address. And for those who will receive a rating of not yet
competent, you don’t have to worry because you can take your re-assessment
anytime at your convenient time. Once that it is full qualification you need to
undergo the whole process. But once you are found to be not yet competent in one
certain unit of competency only, you will undergo only the unit of competency
where you assessed to be not yet competent. On Electrical Installation and
Maintenance NC 11 reassessment is only allowed after one month from the date of
your assessment. Reassessment is only allowed after one month from the date of
your assessment. Reassessment for a NC shall be done only on the tasks that the
candidate did not succeed to achieve.

However, If you are not satisfied with the result of your assessment, you can submit
your appeal to the TESDA Provincial Office, where the assessor and the assessment
center have been accredited.

And evidences gathered during the assessment will be kept confidentially. The only
person who has access to the result of the assessment are the assessor and
assessment center manager.

If you have questions, clarifications, queries, you can raised it now because once the
assessment has started you are not allowed to raise questions.

The following are the DO’s & Don’t during the assessment:
1. Observe Occupational Healthy and Safety Procedures to avoid any form of
accidents.
2. Refrain from giving any form of informations.
3. Only candidates for assessment are only allowed to enter in the assessment area.
4. Cellphones are not allowed.
5. Clarifications & questions are not allowed during assessment.

Ms. Tavas, you will be the Candidate No.1


Ms. Santos you will be the Candidate No.2

Now, I will distribute specific instructions. Kindly read the specific instructions for 5
minutes. Ok, your done! Let us proceed to the written examination, I will distribute
your answer sheets and test questionnaires. You are only given 15 minutes to
answer.

Ok, let us proceed to your demonstration. For the meantime, Candidate No.2 Pls.
Proceed to the waiting area, while Candidate No.1 will do her
demonstration(PROVIDED TASKS WILL JOURNALIZE THE GIVEN TRANSACTIONS)
Ok, Candidate No.1 Thank you. Now Candidate No.2 you may now proceed to your
demonstration. For the meantime, Candidate No. 1 kindly go to the waiting area.

Now, for the oral questioning. I have here certain questions for you to
answer…..DEBIT/CREDIT TRANSACTIONS…

(After feedback update your rating sheet and indicate the result to attendance sheet)

Based on the result I have gathered, Candidate No.1 you are competent for the
qualification of Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC 11. ( Moreover…cite area
to improve.) You will receive your NC 1-3 days through your email address.

Candidate No.2 you need not to worry for being not competent, because you can
take your re-assessment at your convenient time. However, if you have doubt on
the result you have the right to appeal to TESDA Provincial Office.
