1. Good morning candidates!


I am MARK JOSEPH M. MABUGAY, your accredited competency assessor for ELECTRICAL
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE NCII.

2. Welcome to MALINAO SCHOOL FOR PHILIPPINE CRAFTSMEN, our venue for your
assessment.

3. I would like to acknowledge the presence of MRS. JOCELYN N. NILLASCA, our Assessment
Center Manager, and MRS. MARY RHEA R. ILETO, our representative from TESDA Provincial
Office. Good morning ma’ams.

You don’t have to worry about their presence because they are not here to assess you. They
are here to oversee the conduct of assessment if it is in accordance with the prescribed
competency assessment methodology and procedures.

4. Before we start, I will check your attendance first. Please present to me your admission slip and
ID once I call your name with your assigned number. Kindly check the spelling of your name
and then sign on the space provided of this
copies attendance sheet.

Okay, everyone is here.
5. So now, I have here with me is your fully accomplished self-assessment guide which indicates
that you know and can perform all the units of competency enumerated in this Qualification.

6. So what is the purpose of this assessment? That is to determine if you have already
possessed all the required knowledge, skills and attitude needed to be competent in this
Qualification.

7. As your assessor, I am going to administer competency assessment for ELECTRICAL


INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE NC II. It is the Qualification level with Core competencies
namely:
 Perform roughing-in activities, wiring and cabling works for single-phase distribution,
power, lighting and auxiliary systems
 Install electrical protective devices for distribution, power, lighting, auxiliary, lightning
protection and grounding systems
 Install wiring devices of floor and wall mounted outlets, lighting fixtures/switches, and
auxiliary outlets
8. Okay? So in this assessment, you will be assessed against the competency standards so we
could identify if you have met all the requirements, and if so, you will be issued a National
Certificate for your qualification. You should be able to demonstrate all the core competencies I
have mentioned earlier. The duration of your assessment is hours.

9. So you have your tools, equipment and materials to be used for this assessment. (show the
tools, materials and equipment
10. In case you have any health, religious or cultural concerns, please don’t hesitate to inform me.
Also, if anyone here who could not understand English, please tell me so that I could translate
it to you or assist you.

11. During the conduct of assessment, you are not allowed to talk to each other; you are not
allowed to use your cell phones and to go out anytime you want without my permission. If you
want to attend to your personal needs such as going to the comfort room, just inform me. By
the way, the comfort room is located at .

12. So later, I am going to give you feedback and announce to you the result of your assessment.
In case that you do not agree with the result of the assessment, you have the right to appeal,
which we call the
Right to Appeal System. We have here our TESDA representative whom you could refer or talk
regarding your appeal, if it is not yet solved, you may write a letter of appeal addressed to the
TESDA Provincial Director.

13. Also, be reminded that you are not allowed to give any form of information that took place
during the assessment process since it is confidential and against the law.

This assessment process is being recorded by a CCTV.

14. In order for you to be competent or attain the National Qualification of ELECTRICAL
INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE NC II you should perform all the competencies
satisfactorily. Assessment shall focus on the core units of competency because the basic and
the common units shall be integrated concurrently with the core units. Take note:(you need to
demonstrate all the core competencies I have mentioned in addition I will also have an oral
questioning with you that you need to answer. )

15. So again, you will be issued a National E- Certificate for ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION &
MAINTENANCE NC II once you are competent which being sent to you by TESDA in your
respective email address. You can print it and if you wanted to have a certified true copy of
your e- certificate, just go to the TESDA Provincial Office and bring your Competency
Assessment Results Summary (CARS) and pesos for your processing fee.

16. If you are not yet competent, you can apply for reassessment. But take note that if you fail the
assessment for two (2) consecutive times, you will be required to go through a refresher
course before taking another assessment.

 Written Test (if there is)
 Demonstration with oral questioning

22. Candidate No. 1 How was the assessment? Ok this is the final part of our assessment, I will
ask you questions (begin the interview)
23. (for Competent) Candidate no. 1, I will now give you a feedback regarding your assessment.

things you need to improve which means, CONGRATULATIONS! You are now competent and
eligible for issuance of National Certificate II for . Kindly sign this rating sheet if you conform

Please sign also this CARS which I will endorse later to the AC manager. Okay Thank you
and congratulations once again.
24. (For Not Yet Competent) Candidate no. 2, I will now give you a feedback regarding your
assessment. (State the scores in written, if there is, then the demonstration and interview. Begin
with the positive feedback then next is the areas for improvements) But since there are areas
you need to improve which are the critical aspects of this qualification, you are not yet
competent for . Kindly sign
this rating sheet if you conform to the result of your assessment. Please sign also this CARS
which I will endorse later to the AC manager.
