PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT (Assistant Manager/ Manager)

This role is specifically for a large PAN-India skills training programme, the emphasis of which is
to reach out to young people with skills training through NGOs implementing such projects. The
programme will solicit applications from NGOs for skills training project and disburse grants to
those selected through a robust screening process.

The programme will place priority on collaboration and coordination with sector experts and
facilitate the exchange of learning, innovation and best practices on skill development.

Roles & Responsibilities:


The individual will primarily be in-charge of the operational aspect of the programme. He /she
will be responsible for the implementation of the programme, including data management,
partner management and programme monitoring. The role will encompass engagement with
partners, NGOs and internal stakeholders.

Experience and Qualification


1. A graduate/ post-graduate preferably in social science
2. 4 - 9 years’ experience with all or fair split of experience in the development sector
3. Experience in project management preferably with proven comfort in monitoring and
evaluation of projects
4. Proven experience in stakeholder management
5. Ability to analyze and interpret large and complex data effectively
6. Experience in managing skills training projects (Desirable; not mandatory)
7. Experience in conceptualizing and implementing PAN-India initiatives (Desirable; not
mandatory)

 Excellent planning, time management and organisational abilities
o Able to work under pressure, meeting key project and reporting deadlines
o Adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances and needs of the role
 Demonstrates learning agility with strong thinking and analytical skills
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good writing skills
 High motivation and ability to work independently on agreed goals
 Ability to also work effectively as part of a small close-knit team
 Ability to consistently deliver high standard quality of work
 Exposure to MS-Office; proficient with Excel
