Good afternoon to all of you guys I hope you doin good and healthy so for

our last topic which is curriculum implementation we are going to proceed in


curriculum evaluation. The word ‘evaluation’ in curriculum evaluation means
the process of collecting data on a program to determine its value and worth
with the aim of deciding whether to adopt, reject or revised the program
So for defining curriculum evaluation first, it is an essential phase of
curriculum development that responds to public accountability. Through
evaluation a faculty discovers whether a curriculum is fulfilling its purpose
and whether students are actually learning. The public want to know
whether the curriculum implemented has achieves its aims and objectives.
Second, looks into educational reform or innovations that happen in the
teachers classroom and school. The purpose of curriculum evaluation is to
determine whether or not the newly adopted curriculum is producing the
intended results and meeting the objectives that it has set forth, and it is an
essential component in the process of adopting and implementing any new
curriculum in any educational setting. Another purpose of curriculum
evaluation is to gather data that will help in identifying areas in need of
improvement or change.
Lastly, establishing the merit and worth. Merit refers to the value and worth
of the curriculum. Merit, as they use the term, refers to the intrinsic value of
an entity—value that is implicit, inherent, and independent of any
applications. Merit is established without reference to a context. Worth, on
the other hand, is the value of an entity in reference to a particular context
or a specific application. It is the “payoff” value for a given institution or
group of people.
So why do we need to evaluate? It simply the result of evaluation will be the
basis to improve a curriculum. Because the curriculum process presented
various curricular list ends in evaluation and all of them are agreed that
planning, designing and implementing are less useful unless it undergo
evaluation.
How do we evaluate? By the use of test result as one of the piece evidence
of evaluation and by the different curriculum evaluation model.
Evaluation of curriculum is an integral and essential part of the whole
process of curriculum development. It is a continuous activity and not a “tail-
end-process”. Evaluation and planning are complementary processes which
occur almost simultaneously and continuously. Planning is made on the
basis of evaluation and vice versa. However, as a separate state evaluation
has its own entity.
Moving forward curriculum evaluation is both a process and a tool. It is a
process in a way that it follows a procedure based on the models and
frameworks to get the desired result and It is a tool because it will help
teachers and program implementers to judge the worth and merit of the
program and innovation or curricular changes.
Basically, curriculum evaluation plays a vital role in a certain curriculum
why? Because it is the basis to improve and innovative the existing
curriculum it is also a way to innovative and to irradicate the negative
aspects of a curriculum
And thats its for the next presenter it will elaborate the definition of
curriculum evaluation of different models and also the reasons why we
evaluate and the different models of curriculum evaluation.

magpapatuloy tayo sa pagsusuri sa kurikulum. Ang salitang 'pagsusuri' sa
pagsusuri ng kurikulum ay nangangahulugang ang proseso ng pagkolekta
ng data sa isang programa upang matukoy ang halaga at kahalagahan nito
sa hangarin na magpasya kung tatanggapin, tatanggihan o baguhin ang
programa
Kaya para sa pagtukoy muna ng pagsusuri sa kurikulum, ito ay isang
mahalagang yugto ng pagbuo ng kurikulum na tumutugon sa pananagutan
ng publiko. Sa pamamagitan ng pagsusuri ng isang guro ay natuklasan
kung ang isang kurikulum ay natutupad ang layunin nito at kung ang mga
mag-aaral ay talagang natututo. Nais malaman ng publiko kung ang
ipinatupad na kurikulum ay nakamit ang mga hangarin at layunin.
Pangalawa, tingnan ang repormang pang-edukasyon o mga makabagong
ideya na nangyayari sa silid-aralan ng guro at paaralan. Ang layunin ng
pagsusuri sa kurikulum ay upang matukoy kung ang bagong pinagtibay na
kurikulum ay gumagawa ng inilaan na mga resulta at matugunan ang mga
layunin na nailahad nito, at ito ay isang mahalagang sangkap sa proseso ng
pag-aampon at pagpapatupad ng anumang bagong kurikulum sa anumang

modelo ng pagsusuri sa kurikulum.
Ang pagsusuri ng kurikulum ay isang mahalagang bahagi at mahalagang
bahagi ng buong proseso ng pagbuo ng kurikulum. Ito ay isang tuluy-tuloy
