Detailed Lesson Plan in Math

The detailed lesson plan summarizes a 60-minute mathematics lesson on identifying different kinds of plane figures. The lesson involves preliminary activities like guessing shapes, reviewing fractions, and motivating students with a guessing game using objects in a box. Students then learn about different plane figures through a presentation and group activities where they arrange puzzles to form shapes. Examples are analyzed and students define characteristics of circles, triangles, quadrilaterals and identify examples in the classroom. The lesson concludes with an application activity and evaluation to assess student understanding.

Teacher’s Activity Pupil’s Activity

1. Presentation

- What are the shapes of the objects

- Circle!
inside the box?
- Square! Rectangle! Triangle!
- Okay! Very good! What else?
- Right! So what do we call the
circle, triangle, square, and - Plane Figures!
rectangle? They are?
- They are plane figures! And our
topic for today is all about
"Identifying different kinds of plane
figures"
-Everybody eyes on the board.
What is this? How many sides does
- Notebook! 4 sides!
it have?
- How about this one? How many
sides does it have? - Ball , none!

- What do we call a plane figure that
has 3 sides?
- Circles!
- How about a plane figure without
