Solar streetlights are raised light sources, which are power by photovoltaic panels
generally mounted on the lightning structures. The photovoltaic panels charge a
rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescents or LED during the night.
Each streetlight can have its own photovoltaic panel, independent of other
streetlights. Alternately, a number of panels can be installed as a central power
source on a separate location and supply power implementation to a number of
streetlights.
Solar modules use light energy from the sun to generate electricity through the
photovoltaic effect. The majority of the modules used wafer-based crystalline silicon
cells or thin-film cells based on cadium telluride or silicon. The structural load-
carrying member of the module can either the top layer or the back layer. Cells must
also be protected from mechanical damage and moisture.
III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION (Explain the project, including activities that will be
undertaken)
This project will focus on outdoor space in residential area. We made this project
to consider the safety of people especially women, child and teenagers. We made this to
learn and give solution to the problems we are now encountered, which is improving
streetlights. It is made to help the community give information in improving streetlights
which maybe an appropriate response to crime and problem that might be happen.
