LP Locomotor

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the students are, expected to do the


following:
a. Identify the basic locomotor movements, non-locomotor
movements, basic steps and elements in movements in
space;
b. Execute the basic locomotor movements, non-locomotor
movements, basic steps and elements in movements in
space;
c. Explain the importance of basic locomotor movements, non-
locomotor movements in making festival dances and
elements in movements in space;

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Festival Dance: Basic locomotor movements, non-locomotor
movements and elements in movements in space
Reference: Physical Education and Health 9 Learner’s Material
Materials: Visual aid, speaker
Teaching Strategy: Practice Style Method
III. Procedure

A. Review
The teacher will ask the students about their previous topic.
B. Motivation
The teacher will play a song for students to do stretching
exercises to warm up their body.

C. Activity
Group the class into four. The students will choose their leader.
The music prepared will be play. As it plays, students will come up
with five figures of sixteen counts each. Do this in ten minutes.

D. Analysis
 How does it feel coming up with you own festival dance
routine?
 Was it hard or easy? Why?

E. Abstraction
This time, the teacher will present the basic locomotor
movements, non-locomotor movements, basic steps and arm
movements in folkdance and elements in movements in space
F. Application
With the same groupings, the groups shall identify their wish to
celebrate. The students shall ask to recall the basic movements they
learned from the past years. The celebration that have agreed with
their group shall be the basis for the movements they will create. In
ten minutes, students expected to come up with figures of 16 counts
each.

IV. Evaluation
The students will present their group performance. The
performance of the group will be assessed using the following criteria:
