Lesson 1: Pedagogical Content Knowledge and It’s Application across the Curriculum.

Activities:

1. Differentiate content knowledge from pedagogical knowledge and curricular knowledge.


Answer:
content knowledge is the knowledge of what is being taught, while Pedagogical
knowledge is the strategies of knowledge of how it is being taught to the student and
learner’s. and the curricular knowledge is the teachers understanding of the school
learning programs develop in the different levels.
2. Observe how the teacher aligns the content of the lesson to the curriculum.
Answer:
The student teacher aligns the content in a good sequence in preparing a lesson plan
and ability to think ideas to enrich his subject mastery.
3. Analyze the benefits of pedagogical content knowledge.
Answer:
Pedagogical content knowledge can lead to a deeper understanding of the subject in the
students gains, because if the teacher has a better content knowledge and really knows
how to teach the subject, the student and learners can easily understand the lessons
very well. Compared to the less prepared or less experience teachers.

It is the basic strategies by simply preparing a good lesson plan.

the curriculum.

1. Analyze the importance of research-based instruction and the principles of teaching and
learning.
Answer:
Is to equip teachers to help them to reach the children, to avoid burnout and to improve
their classrooms culture of learning and achievement.
2. Observe how these can enrich teacher’s pedagogical content knowledge and improve
student’s learning.
3. Recognize their effect on learners.
Answer:
It is a challenge of the students and interest in learning setting them on the path to
success in school and in life.
4. Examine how various theories and principles and applied in planning instruction.

Answer:

It is the conclusions of the scientific research can be replicated and generalized.

Answer:

If the programs of those withstand the test of standard scientific testing practices, scientific
research gather information about significant questions, use objective methods that involve
reliable and valid observations and measurements and meets rigorous standards peer review.
