PROVIDE ROOM SERVICE

TELEPHONE RESERVATION (ROOM SERVICE)

Waiter: Room service, good morning, this is Anton, how may I assist you?

Guest: I would like to order a breakfast meal, what kind of breakfast meals you are offering?

Waiter: We have American, Continental and Filipino breakfast. Our American breakfast is composed of
Toast, Egg and Jam, our Continental breakfast is composed of Toast, Sausages, Egg and
fruits while our Filipino breakfast is made up of tapa choice, rice and egg. All of our
breakfast meal comes with a choice of coffee, tea or juice.
Guest: I want an American breakfast.
Waiter: For how many servings Ms. Smith?
Guest: For one person only.
Waiter: Do you have any special requirement Ms. Smith?
Guest: I want my egg scrambled.
Waiter: Noted Ms. Smith. Would that be all Ms. Smith?
Guest: Yes.

Waiter: May I repeat your order, Ms. Smith? You ordered an American breakfast good for one person
and you want the eggs scrambled to be delivered in room 101 for Ms. Smith. Is that correct Ms. Smith?

Guest: Yes.
Waiter: for your mode of payment ma'am, would you like cash or charge it to your account?

Guest: Just charge it to my account.

Waiter: okay ma'am, at what time would you like me to serve your breakfast?

Guest: at exactly 8:00 am

Waiter: noted ma'am, your order will be delivered to room 101 at exactly 8:00 am, thank you

Guest: thanks, bye!

ROOM SERVICE – SET UP IN THE TROLLEY (Script)

 1st layer (tables & equipment that has contact with food)
 2nd layer (tools & equipment that has no direct contact with food)

 Fill-up the Room Service Control Sheet & Receipt/ Room Service charge slip.
 Proceed in the guest room, knock the door 3 times and state Room Service.
 “Good morning Ma’am/ Sir, I am ___________ , your room service attendant, I am here
to deliver your_________________ breakfast may I come in?
 “Excuse me Ma’am/ Sir, where would you like me to set up your breakfast sir? Would
you like me to set-up in the table of or I’ll just leave it here in the trolley /tray ?
 Set-up the table.
 Present the food
Note:
a) Remove all the covers
b) Lay the table napkin in the lap of the guest
c) Pouring of coffee if it’s brewed coffee. If the coffee is instant it is already at the coffee
mug with underliner. Pour the water also in the water goblet.
e) Present the food.
 Ask extra service
Like:
a) Would you like me to open the curtains Ma’am/ Sir?
b) Would you like me to open the window Ma’am/ Sir?
c) Would you like me to open the television Ma’am/ Sir?
d) Would you like me to adjust the temperarture of your room Ma’am/ Sir?
e) Would you like me to have a newspaper Ma’am/ Sir?
 PRESENT ROOM SERVICE CONTROL SHEET & THE BILL
 May I present to you the Room Service Control Sheet, it consist the equipment
and utensils that will be left in the table, please sign below.
 May I present your bill. (the same in presenting of bills)/ If it’s Room charge left
the guest sign the room charge slip.
 Is there anything else that I could help with Ma’am/ Sir?
 Ma’am / Sir, Please feel free to call the room service department to pick your soiled
dishes.
 Thank you, enjoy your breakfast Ma’am/ Sir & have a nice day.

COLLECT SOILED DISHES

 Proceed in the guest room, knock the door 3 times and state Room Service.
 “Good morning Ma’am/ Sir, I am ___________ , your room service attendant, I am here
to pick up your soiled dishes may I come in?
(Collect soilde dishes)
 Is there anything else that I could help with Ma’am/ Sir?
 Thank you and have a nice day.
