FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II – ROOM SERVICE

1. Take and Process Room Service Orders via (Phone Call)

Attendant: Good Morning Diamond Hotel Room Service, How may I help you?
Guest: I just want to order for my breakfast
Attendant: Yes, but before that can I have your name and room number please?
Guest: Ok. I’m _______________ from room ________.
Attendant: Thank you mam/sir. You are _________ from room____. What would you like to order?
Guest: Continental breakfast consist of : _____________________________ for one person.
Attendant: Would you like to add ________ (salad) vegetable salad ( suggestive selling).
Guest: Ok I will try.
Attendant: You order (dictate the order) for one person only, also you will be paying it by cash/ it would
be charge to your room accommodation account, and will be delivered in _______ did I get it right sir/
mam?

Attendant: your total bill for this transaction is _____, how would you like to settle your bill? it is by cash
or charge to your room accommodation account

Guest: can you charge it to my account?
Attendant: Yes mam/sir, it can be added to your room accommodation account and you can pay it at
the reception area once check out.
Guest: Ok, thank you.
Attendant: Your order will be delivered within 15 to 20 minutes.
Guest : Ok
Attendant: Thank you sir/ mam for calling Diamond Hotel room service department, Have a nice day!

2. Present and Serve Food and Beverage orders to the guest (RoomService)

Attendant: (knock at the door 3x/ active doorbell 2-3 seconds) Room service
Guest: (opens the door)
Attendant: Good morning. May I come in?
Guest: yes, you may come in.
Attendant: shall I leave the door open or close?
Guest: _________
Attendant: May I present your order for breakfast sir/ mam ________ ( state the order), would you like
me to set it up for you or shall I leave it here?

Guest: please set it up for me.
Attendant: where do you want me to set it up sir/mam?
Guest: just in the dining table.
Attendant: ( setting the orders) excuse me mam /sir your food is already set.
Guest: Thank you
Attendant: Would you like me to open your curtains to brighten up your room?
Guest: ______
Attendant: would you like me to adjust the temperature of your air conditioner?
Guest: ______
Attendant: May I now present your bill?
Guest: yes please,

Attendant: this is your bill sir /mam Guest: here is my money.
Attendant: I received ____ pesos and this is your change _____

Attendant: this is your bill sir/mam and can you please affix your signature below the receipt, this
indicates that you received and agreed that your order will be charge to your room accommodation

Attendant: What would be the best time to clean and get your soiled dishes?

Attendant: I s there anything else that I can help you with?
Guest; None
Attendant: Thank you Sir/Mam. enjoy your meal.

Attendant ( Knock at the door 3x active doorbell 2-3 seconds) Room Service
Guest: (opens the door)
Attendant: Good morning .May I come in?
Guest: Yes you may.
Attendant: Shall I leave the door open or close?
Guest: _____
Attendant: How was your meal mam/sir?
Guest: Its good but I want to make a comment your coffee/tea that you serve is not at the right
temperature and the bread seems old.
Attendant: I’m sorry about that sir/mam. I’ll take note of comments and I shall inform the kitchen to
make an immediate action to this matter so that it will never happen again. Thank you sir/mam. May I
now clear your soiled dishes?
Guest: Yes, thank you.
Attendant: (clearing the table) thank you sir/ Mam, is there anything else I can help you with?
Guest: none

Attendant: Thank you for your order, enjoy your stay and have a nice day.
