Information about Africa
Africa is the second largest continent and covers 6% of the Earths surface. Africa is split almost in two by the Equator and as a result has numerous climate areas and varying temperatures and weather conditions. Its northern half is primarily desert or arid, while its central and southern areas contain both savanna plains and very dense jungle regions.

Africa consists of a total of 53 countries including Madagascar and all the island groups. Blink and you may well miss a country change its name!
Africa Surfing Info and Details
There is huge potential for discovery of new spots in Africa. It has coastlines that receive swells from the North and South Atlantic Oceans, the Indian Ocean and even the Mediterranean Sea to the north.

The two areas most associated (and visited) by surfers would have to be South Africa and Morocco. South Africa being well know for world class spots and getting lots of coverage in magazines. The popularity of Morocco with traveling surfers is due to both its epic point breaks and its easy accessibility from Europe.
