Australia Pacific can also be referred to as Oceania from this surf guides perspective. This area comprises of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands (not including Hawaii which we have added to North America).

Most of Oceania consists of island nations composed of thousands of coral atolls and volcanic islands, with small human populations. This kind of geography makes for huge surfing opportunities.

Australia seems to dominate this region on the map due to its size - poor little New Zealand and Papua New Guinea!

Australia is the king of the Australia Pacific surf region due to it's size (very big), it's coastline (very long), it's surf spots (lots of fantastic waves) and it's surfers (good, numerous - everyone surfs!).

The Pacific Islands with such tropical gems as Fiji and Tonga provide the ultimate settings for tropical waves. Go surfing in the crystal clear warm waters and watch the coral go shooting past beneath your feet. What a destination for a surf.
