D. ELABORATION Let’s deepen out your

understanding…

 What are you going to

do to be safe during
different kind of weather
conditions?

- We need to know
weather conditions to
keep us safe.
- We enjoy outdoors
activities if we have
fine weather. Like
sports, field trips, kite
flying, and camping.
This means, it
depends with the
weather condition
what games we play
outside.
- Knowledge on the
weather forecast for
the day also helps us
make necessary
preparations.
- We also decide what
clothes to wear in a
certain weather
condition. On warm
we wear light colour
thin clothes and on
cold weather, we
wear dark colour thick
clothes and we use
thick blankets.
- In case of stormy
weather, we are
advised to stay at
home and take the
necessary
precautions. We must
store enough food,
prepare the
flashlights, candles
water and other
important things in
case there is a need
to evacuate.

 Why do we need to
follow these safety
precautions?

- To keep us safe and

prepared for different
weather conditions
- To avoid larger costs
of damage.

REMEMBER …
 Avoid staying longer
under the sun, use
umbrella or hat to
protect yourself from
Generalization heat.
 Don’t play under the
rain. You may get sick.
 Use proper clothing
during a certain weather
condition.
