I. Lesson Objectives
At the end of the session, the pupils will be able to:
a. Describe the Concept Map “Landforms”
b. Demonstrate the different landforms found on Earth;
Appreciate the significance of different landforms found on Earth.

a. Prayer
 Let us humbly bow our heads and put up
ourselves in the presence of our ALLAH

b. Greetings
 Good morning children!
Before you take your sit, kindly arrange
your chair and pick up the pieces of
paper.

c. Checking of attendance
 Children is there any absent for today? Nobody is absent teacher.

d. Classroom Rules
 Before we start our lesson, what are the
classroom rules?  Listen to the teacher
 Use your ‘inside voice’ in the
classroom
 Raise your hand if you wish to speak
2. Before the lesson

 Children let us have a review if you
still remember our last lesson.
 Now can somebody tell me, which
planet do we live? We live in the planet Earth.
Very Good!

Where do you find the Earth? The Earth is found in the outer space.

Correct!

And what do you call to the place where other


planets were found like the Sun and the Earth belong
in the same space? Teacher it is called solar system.

Excellent!

Since you really understand our last lesson. Now let’s


move on to our next topic.

 I will show you a picture of Landforms
and I want you to identify what kind
of landforms I showed.  Sit properly

c. Lesson Proper

Look at the globe. Can you find the land areas?


Point at a land part of the Earth.
Find where the Philippines is on the globe. Can you
see the place where you live? It is just a dot on the
globe. You place is very small compared to the size of
the Earth.
One-third of the earth is covered with land. There
are different landforms on Earth.
Landform is any formation of rocks and soil.
Here are some of them:

A mountain is the tallest landform. Its shape is like a


cone and has a wide bottom. It also has a pointed tip
called peak.

A volcano is a type of mountain, instead of peak, it


has a crater. A crater is an opening where lava or
molten rocks come out when a volcano erupts.

Hills are another kind of landform. Hills are tall but


lower than mountains. It is usually covered with
grass and other plants also grow on hills.

Some landforms are low or flat. A valley is an


example of a flat landform. A valley is a flat land
between mountains or hills. It is a good place for
growing crops.

Another flat landform is plain. Plains are flat lands


usually meet bodies water. There are two kinds of
plains the coastal and river.
A plain that meets seas is called coastal plain.

A plain that meets rivers are called river plains.
